I had never dated anyone before.

I didn't know how dating worked, or what people did on dating.

But it came natural with him. Like the thing I was trained for my whole life. I had no idea when this happened, but he would just slide his fingers between mine whenever we met and we would walk down the hallways, holding hands.

I didn't know if it was dating. But I guess that was what people did if they were dating.
