Yui's P.O.V

It all started when our mothers met.

Past

"Hello Ms. Toshino!" Mom happily said.

"Hello Ms. Funami." Kyoko's mom added.

"Oh, is that your daughter? She's so cute!" Mom replied.

"She sure is! Her name is Toshino Kyoko. She's a bit shy though..." Kyoko's mom made Kyoko come out behind her back.

"Oh, she and Yui would make good friends! Yui!" Mom called out.

I came out of the house.

"This is my daughter Yui Funami." Mom introduced me to them.

"Oh! A girl!" I said surprised.

I started running to her but the girl hid behind her mom's back again.

"I didn't mean to scare you! I just wanted to talk to you!" I smiled.

"O-Oh...?" The girl peeked behind her mom's back.

"It's okay! I won't hurt you!" I called out to the yellow haired girl.

The girl started coming out of her mom's back and started approaching me.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"I-I-It's... Toshino... K-Kyoko..." Kyoko said shyly.

"My name's Yui! Yui Funami! Nice to meet you!" I cheerfully said.

Kyoko blushed and looked down.

"I'll be heading to work now. Could you please take care of my daughter for me?" Kyoko's mom asked.

"Sure!" Mom responded.

"Then, I'll be off." Kyoko's mom left in her car to work.

"Head inside. It's gonna rain soon." Mom warned us.

"Come in, Kyoko!" I grabbed Kyoko's hand.

"O-Okay!" Kyoko said in surprise.

Me and Kyoko head inside the house.

Kyoko was about to walk around the house with shoes on but I reminded her to take her shoes off.

Kyoko took them off and started walking around the house.

Kyoko was pretty amazed at how clean and beautiful the house was.

"Y-Your house looks... incredible..." Kyoko said with her eyes sparkling.

"Thank you!" Kyoko's compliment of the house made me happy.

"So, what do you want to do?" I asked Kyoko.

"Um... d-do you have a-any... coloring books?" Kyoko asked.

"Yeah, in my room!" I ran to my room and Kyoko followed.

I opened my bedroom door, and I could tell Kyoko was amazed.

I looked inside a drawer and found two coloring books.

I put the two coloring books on the table in the center of my room and then looked for the crayons.

I found them, but it took me a while to find the crayons cause I had forgotten where I put them.

"Sorry for taking so long." I said, kind of embarassed.

"No, it's okay..." Kyoko shook her head.

"Alright, let's start coloring!" I yelled.

Me and Kyoko started coloring some pictures. Mine was an elephant, and Kyoko's was a tree.

Minutes later, I finished coloring the elephant gray. And Kyoko had colored the tree's leaves, blue.

I chuckled nervously.

Me and Kyoko kept coloring more pictures, and eventually we got tired.

Mom prepared my bed and two pillows. Then she woke us up and made us sleep in the bed.

Kyoko was out cold of how tired she was.

I smiled.

"Let's become good friends... Okay?" I whispered.

I closed my eyes, and went to sleep.
