Swapped

Chapter 5

The clicks of the camera were heard throughout the entire studio, a flash going off every second as the girls stood there like dolls that the photographer would adjust when he needed them to be in a different pose.

Jesy and Jade had discussed the photo shoot when Leigh and Perrie fell asleep last night, telling each other how they should pose. For Jade, it wasn't a stretch to just stand more mature and elegant, but Jesy on the other hand, was having a difficult time acting more cutsey and innocent, not being used to the poses the photographer wanted her/Jade to stand in.

It was now the group shot, and Jesy and Jade felt more nerves get added on to the ones they previously had when it was the solo shots. Now Leigh and Perrie were right next to them, being able to judge their every move.

"We need you guys to huddle around Jade!", the photographer shouted in between flashes, and Perrie and Leigh automatically adjusted themselves so they each had an arm wrapped around Jesy/Jade, and Jesy just stood there awkwardly, not used to being the shortest of the group. "Jesy!', someone shouts, and Jade snaps out of it and realizes that she's Jesy, not Jade. She moved herself to stand behind Jesy, feeling awkward and off balance as she stood there, taller than everyone.

"Good, good! Stay like that!"

A few more flashes go off, and then it's finally the end of the shoot. Jade quickly walks off to stand on the side so she can text Zayn and tell him the shoot is finished, but Jesy is stuck in the middle of Perrie and Leigh, both of them not seeming to want to let go.

"Uhm...guys? The shoot's over, you can let go now.", she says, chuckling awkwardly.

"Oh, yeah, sorry.", Leigh says, seeming as if she snapped out of a trance before letting go of Jesy's waist, but Perrie just moves her arm from around Jesy's waist to link their arms together.

"Let's go see what type of snacks they have, Jadey!", the blonde says, leading Jesy as she makes her way to the snack table.

Leigh watches them skip off, and she stomps her foot as she turns on her heel, walking off in a different direction.

"Jesy!", Jade shouts, getting a text from Zayn that he and the boys were coming up to the studio.  "Jesy?!", she calls out again, wondering where the other girl was.  They needed to get ready to leave with Zayn and Liam.  "Jes?"

"Jesy?", Jade hears a voice ask from beside her, and she jumps a bit in fright.  "Jesy, why on earth are you calling out your own name?"  Jade recognized the voice as Leigh-Anne's, and she gulped, sweating as she starts to try and come up with a lie.

"I like the sound of it...?", she makes up, hoping that it sounds like something Jesy would say.

"Jeez Jes, you're so self-centered.", Leigh jokes, nudging Jade with her elbow.  "Anyway, stop doing it, or else people will think you're crazy.", she then advises, walking off once she's done.

 Jade shakes her head at how close that was, then goes back to looking for where Jesy is. 

"Jadey!"  Jade turns around and sees Jesy standing there, panting and out of breath. 

"Where the heck were you!?", Jade asks, not understanding why Jesy was so out of breath.

"Perrie dragged me away to get food with her, but I knew that I had to meet up with you soon, so I told her I had to go to the bathroom.  I thought she would let me go, but she said she'd come with me.  So...I 'accidentally' spilt fruit punch on her shirt, then ran when she was distracted."

"JESY!  Will you stop getting me in trouble!?"

"I didn't mean to!  Plus, it was for a good cause.  Now, moving on, is Malik and the boys here?"
