"So for one week, I get to call you mine?" Jerome asks me. I nod. He smiles again.
"And we get to do anything couples do." I say.
"Like this?" He replies, leaning in and kissing me. At first I'm surprised, then I kiss back. He pulls away. I nod. Again, he smiles, making me smile.
"I have an idea." He says, grabbing my hand and leading me out the door.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"Narnia." He answers with a straight face.
"Finally! I thought you'd never take me!" I say. He laughs. We get in his car, and he drives to the park. He guides me over to this wide open area, with a few trees.
"This is beautiful. Just like a diamond in the sky." I say.
"I thought you were going to say 'Just like you.' " He replies, laughing.
"It would have been true." I saw, smiling and leaning in for a kiss, which he accepts. Ah. I can't believe I'm going to be doing this for one week.
