Forgetting and Seeking
You left me shattered
A laugh lingering behind
To me, nothing mattered
You left me nothing to find
I carved a path
Into the unknown
Found a way and did the math
My heart was newly sewn
But no matter what, I felt lost
I was an abandoned soul
Wanting love no matter the cost
But didn't I know that sought out love is always foul
In the end?
