Chapter 7

Ariel

The air whipped through my hair, and I had never felt so free. This was my third time riding Caelum and I had finally gotten the hang of it.

Although you know you wouldn't mind riding him a different way.

Shut up he's gay! We have a mission to focus on.

Riding him, as a means of transportation, that's exactly what I meant... was fairly easy and straight forward. I lean right, he goes right. I lean left, he goes left. I lean forward, he goes faster. Or I could just tell him what to do and he'll go on like autopilot which was what I was currently doing.

We were on our way to the centaurs. You know the half horse half human things? Yeah those.

Lucky for me, Daniel put a lot of information (including where the King Centaur lives) in that bag I mentioned earlier. Otherwise, I would have literally no clue where to go. I have to admit, Daniel did all the planning in advanced for me and without him I would be screwed right now. Then again, I'm doing the dirty work (wink, wink).

'Do you have a strategy?' Caelum's sexy voice rang in my head. Things were slightly awkward between us but we were going to have to get over it. I'm more upset I allowed myself to try and kiss him already then I am about his sexuality (and I don't mean I'm against gays or anything when I say that.) I mean how could I get distracted so fast? I'm acting like I've never interacted with a hot guy before.

That's because you haven't seen a guy as hot as him.

Shut it.

"Yeah, wing it." I answered, grinning a little at my pun. I'm so punny.

'Terrible strategy. Centaurs are hostile towards normal angels and you have that dark air around you. If we just charge in there, they'll shoot us down."

"Yeah, with bow and arrows." I reminded him, "We can take them, trust me."

'I don't doubt our ability to 'take them down' but that's not the way to form allies. If we kill their entire castle security there not going to want to assist the angels.'

"Well if they don't give us a chance to talk to the king then we're going to have to use a more domineering tactic. Besides my dark air will scare away most of them and the sight of you will scare a good amount too so we won't have to kill many."

'As you wish, master.'

I grinned, "I like the sound of that."

Everything I said was coming out sexual.

He shook his big dragon head in dismay.

A huge castle came into view. While houses in heaven are rather modernized this looked like it was straight out of the 1700's.

Just picture the castle Cinderella lived in (yes, I know fairytales. One class in school is dedicated to keeping up with human culture) but bigger and grander.

But the walls were an ugly tree brown and the roof was a forest green taking away from the beauty. The grand door which was impressively huge was lime green.

Immediately, the smell of (horse) manure attacked my nostrils. I scrunched up my nose in distaste. I guess that means they shit from their horse ass.

In the back I saw stables and in them were horses (probably half the reason it smelled like horse manure around here). How does that even work?

Next I saw what must have been three hundred (give or take a few) centaurs with bows and arrows pointing at us. Ah, there's the welcoming committee.
