Chapter Thirty-Four

-------------------------------------

MaKayla's POV

--

"Chris," I thought.

"Yeah," he replied.

"What's going to happen?"

"What exactly do you mean?"

"What if they find us, what of they catch us, what's going to happen to us? What will they do to you?" I thought, concerned.

"They will never get to you, no matter how hard they try to pry my arms away from you, I will NEVER let you go, I will never let anyone hurt you. I won't let them get to you!"

I felt he was lying, but he sounded so truthful, I believed him, maybe because I loved him so much.

I felt safe with him, like I was when my parents were alive. And everything was okay. And no one died. And no one was going to die, or get threatened to get killed like me. He made life okay to live.

"Chris," I thought.

"Yeah?"

"Thank you,"

"For what?" he sounded confused.

"For everything," I thought.

"Like what? I didn't do much."

"You saved my life! Now, you're even helping me find my sister! I NEED to thank you!"

He was speechless for a while.

"Chris," he stared at me again.

"I love you!" I almost screamed when I said that, but kept my tone a little lower.

I kissed him, and the rain started pouring again. His knees were probably failing on him, he must be so tired. He fell to the ground, leaving me on top of him, still kissing him. I didn't want to let go of him ever, either.

"Chris..." I muttered under my breath, bobbing my head up, removing my lips from his. He smirked, satisfied of the turnout of a small conversation and a little 'I love you'. "How... How far are we going..?"

His eyes popped. "Wh-what do you mean, 'how far,?'"

"How far are we going?" slipped from my mouth. I knew that he knew I was young, and I shouldn't even be as far as we are, we're almost to... Sex...

He looked flustered, and he sat up. I kissed him again. He picked me up.

"Wanna get going?" he asked me, ignoring the fact that we were about to make out.

"Right."

He started to run again.

And...

The fugitives, I guess, who were also us...

Were off!
