Another Side Of Him

= Yumi's POV =

"Mine? Will you come with me?"

Napatigil ako. "Huh? Saan?"

He gave me his gorgeous, heart stopping smile before he answered me. Hearty... Geez! Relax. Don't go thumping and jumping inside. 

"I want you to meet my father."

"Ah--HAAAAAA?"

"I wanna formally introduce you to my father."

Waaaaahhhh!!!

Hindi ako patulugin...

Naman kasi si Mine!!! Out of nowhere ba naman sinabi yun. Hindi ako prepared! Well, I suppose I would meet his parents pero hindi ko ine-expect na agad-agad! Five days pa lang kami eh. Tapos meet the parents na agad ang drama. Huuuu.... nakaka-tense and insomia!

Sana lang andito din parents ko para makakaganti ako kaso... hmp! Hindi ko din naman sigurado na matetense siyang mameet sina Papa at Mama. Parang hindi kinakabahan ang isang yun. Wah! So unfair...

Bumalikwas ako ng higa sa kama at kinuha ang cellphone sa bedside table. Nag-scroll sa mga contacts. Biglang dami kasi. Dati sina Kuya Fritz, Mike, Nanay Beth, Kuya Ronald, Landline number ng bahay, Mika, Mama, Papa, at office number lang nila. Tapos nadagdagan ng number nina Yoh, Tres, Aira, Rose at Edge. Idagdag mo pa ngayon yung numbers nung sampung girls sa gang ko. Andami na! May silbi na contacts folder ko...

I called one of the numbers and impatiently tapped my free hand on my knees, waiting for the call to be picked up.

"Konnichiwa..." (Hello) bati ng nasa kabilang linya.

"Mika!! Doko ni iru no?" (Where are you?) tanong ko.

"Byouin... Nande?" (Hospital... Why?) Nagtataka niyang tanong.

Tch! May shift pala siya ngayon. Naman!

"Betsuni. Kawari nai desu. Ahhh... mata ne!" (Nothing. Nothing much. Ah... see ya!) Then I ended the call at nagdial ng ibang number.

"Yumi?" Sagot ng nasa kabilang linya. Her voice sounded so faint and husky, parang kagagaling lang ng iyak, o baka nagising ko lang talaga. "Bakit ka napatawag?"

"Hindi ako makatulog..." reklamo ko.

"Ha? Bakit naman?" Takang tanong niya. Aware kasi siya na ang bilis ko gumawa ng tulog.
