Doc: Well Madison Smith has…… 3 fractured rips back torwards her spinal cord. Thats explains why she screamed so much when your wife touched her back
Ray: She’s not my wife..yet. And will my babygirl be alright?
Doc: Uhh.. i assume so but i need to bring you back to her room and ask yall a few questions.
Ray: Okay (nudges you) Baby wake up
You: Hmm
Ray: Come on (YN) (kisses your forehead) We get to see Madi
You: Whyyyyyyy
Ray: We gotta answer some questions
You: (sitting up) Ughh (finna grab the twins)
Ray: (stops her) Babe i got em (picks em up) Just follow behind the doctor, ill be right behind you
Doc: Right this way

You started walking behind the doctor and Ray was behind you with the boys the doctor steps aside and lets yall walk in and he leaves for a second

Ray: Baby? (putting the boys down)
You: (looking over at Madi w/ tears in your eyes) huh?
Ray: (grabbing your butt) Your getting that cake i always wanted
You: (hits him in the chest) Ray, Shut up! Its not the time for that (walks over to Madi and hold her hand)
Ray: (rubbing his chest) Dang bae, i was playing (walking over too you)

You couldnt hold your tears back anymore so you let them out. Ray came behind you and wrapped his arms tightly around your waist and whispered “Calm down baby, she’ll be alright” and pulled her back to the couch thing onto his lap.

You: I hate seeing her like this Ray!
Ray: (kisses your forehead) I do too

We both just sat there watching her sleep and then the doctor came in with a lady in an all black suit.

You; Whats going on?
Doc: I dont think the nurse told you but the reason Madison has fractured ribs is because she’s been beaten and this is a Social Worker
You: (start crying and runs out the room)

Ray got up and ran after you.. you didnt make it very far. He saw you in the middle of the floor crying. He went and wrapped his arms around you and helped you stand back up. and you cryed into his chest.

You: There gonna do it! There gonna do it, Ray!
Ray: No there not baby.
You: Ray, There gonna take away my kids for no fucking reason
Ray: Shhhh, (running his hands through your hair) Lets just go back and see what we can do
You: (sniffs) Whatever

Ray takes your hand and you pull yourself together and yall go back into the room and sat down on the couch..

Social Worker = SW

SW: Have you ever hit your child
You: (taking your time) Noo..
Ray: Never
SW: (writing it down) Do you know how this happened?
Ray: Not at all. She’s been in our sight every since we got custody of her.
SW: Are you positive?
Ray: ye-
You: No, he’s not…
SW: And what do you mean by that Ms.[last name]
You: After I told Ray that I didnt want the kids to stay with his mom… He did anyways. nd every since she came home she hasnt been my same happy baby (tearing up)
SW: Well do you thi-
Ray: NO! My mom would never do that (lowering his voice; rubbing your back; calming you)
You: But yet, she broke my nose..
SW: Is this true?
Ray: Yea..

(Madison Wakes Up Crying)

You: (going over to her; calming her down) its okay Madi

So you and Ray go over to Madi and start babying her.. The social worker is still there watching over yall. Madi isn’t crying anymore and they gave her some pain medician so she’s good. And then Ray’s mom walked in and a man behind her? When Madi saw the man walk in you could see her tense up and the look on her face was terrified.

You: (whispering to Ray) Ray, you see this dont you
Ray: (clenching his fist) Yea
You: (grabbing ahold of his hands) Chill babe, we dont know what happened
Ray: Uhh, Mom. Can I talk to you outside please.
Mom: Why?
Ray: OUTSIDE!
Mom: (goes outside the door)
You: Ray…
Ray: I got this baby (kissing your forehead and walking out the room)

(Outside THe Door)

RM: What?
Ray: Who the hell is that man!?
RM: Thats my boyfriend
Ray: Okay 1st Eww and 2nd whats wrong with him?
RM: Nothing, he just tends to come home drunk.
Ray: (mumbles) Oh my god (out loud) When Madi and Ty stayed over did he watch them?
RM: Yea, I had to take a shower.. and My poor baby didnt know what to do. Madison was screaming her head off
Ray: Oh Hell No! (storms off into the room) HE DID IT! (pointing to his mom’s girlfriend)

Ray: You beat my daughter!
MB: I did no such thing!

You: (sits down with your head in your hands) Oh My gosh..
