“Why are we here exactly?” I barely heard him for the music was too loud. It felt like mini earthquakes when the sound reaches you.

We were in the living room where they set up a disco scene, drunken ladies dancing and assholes taking advantage of them. Loud music, colorful sparkly lights and of course the reek of the intoxicating alcohol mixed with the scent of everyone around the area.

“We are here to party Cicero,” I said. To party and to let Bryce see me partying and having a good time with some guy, that way he will stay away from me.

“Well then,” he said. “I’m going to get some drinks.” He left and I wasn’t able to stop him. I shouted his name but the music was too loud so he wasn’t able to hear me. He disappeared in the crowd.

I waited for him to come back. While waiting for Cicero, a guy suddenly wrapped his arms around. “Well if it isn’t our sexy editor in chief,” the voiced said. A smirk came to my face as I realized who the guy was.

“Baelfire,” I grinned happy to see the very person I was looking for.

I was looking for Baelfire because he was the only person decent enough who could help me. I mean not Cicero; I didn’t want to use him for my personal reasons so I had to go with the best choice. The person who can never touch me because I know what his true personality was, Baelfire was the right choice.

I turned at him to see if it was really him. The crimson haired, cleft chinned brown eyed guy grinned at me as I smirked at him.

“I’m surprised to see you here Alyson,” he grinned and drank the liquor inside his solo cup and tossed the solo cup away. “Why are you here?”

“I came here to see you, don’t you miss me big guy?” I said.

Cicero arrived holding two solo cups filled with beer.

“Hi Cicero!” Baelfire greeted him with a smile, “it’s so great of you to come here! How’s auntie?”

“She’s fine and forcing me to date Alyson,” he said.

“Why not date her? My friend here,” he wrapped his arm around my shoulder, “is a good catch.”

I blushed at his words. “Maybe but Alyson and I decided just to be friends.” He smiled at me.

“Oh you two are just saying that, maybe in time you’ll end up as a couple.”

Cicero and I just smiled at Baelfire’s hopeful statements that were unlikely to happen. I wouldn’t really find it weird if I dated Cicero but it was him who doesn’t want to, so I guess I’ll just let it pass.

I grabbed both of it and drank it both to the last drop. “Hey Alyson the other one was mine,” he said. Drinking both beers straight made my head a little bit fuzzy but I didn’t mind it. I needed those to gain confidence.

“Cicero, can I talk to Baelfire in private?” I asked him.

“Okay” he smiled and walked away disappearing into the crowd.

“What do you want Alyson?” he asked me.

“Before everything I need more drink,” I said.

He held my hand and dragged me to the mini bar and gave me two shots of some kind of dark gold liquor, “this will get you drunk.” He said.

I drank the bitter, sweet liquor that smelled like gasoline and had a really disgusting after taste that tasted like paint remover and a few seconds later my head starting spinning. “What the hell is that drink?” I asked him.
