That Little Girl With The Angel Wings

That little girl with the angel wings..

She had hopes; she had dreams,

But things were never as easy as they seem.

Her hair was tousled,

And her eyes were drowsy.

She had a smile brighter than the sun,

Somehow she never came undone.

Her eyes had darkened,

And fear lingered still.

She had moved on,

But the past had come upon.

She sat there,

And her eyes were caught in a stare.

Tears slipped down her rosey cheeks;

She'd been feeling this way for weeks.

Her troubled thoughts caught in an entanglement,

But she never realized the purpose of the infringement.

She had been broken,

But never broken enough to where she'd been unable to be fixed by The One and Only.

Now this is not a paradox;

This story has no end.

The One and Only has shown himself,

And brought back the light within.
