The phone is unattended. Please leave a message after the beep.

April 19, 2017

"Jun? Where are you?"

"I haven't seen you for a while,"

"I mean," she chuckles, "I saw you yesterday but..."

"Anyways, want to head to the café? Not with Mark though,"

"He's been... Really..."

She clears her throat.

"Call me back when you receive this, okay?"

Beep.

April 23, 2017

"Jun, where are you?"

"You haven't picked up your phone for days!"

"Ah, really..."

"Hey! I miss hanging out with you!"

"Call me back when you receive this!"

Beep.

April 27, 2017

"Jun, are you busy?"

"Busy with... Your self project?"

"thing. What's that self project, anyway?"

"Like are you making a rocket ship or something?"

"Anyway, call me."

"I'm worried."

Beep.

May 1, 2017

"Jun..."

Her voice was shaking.

"Why?"

"Jun?"

"You're... dead?"

She holds back her tears, but fail miserably upon realizing her best friend, Jun, who was always with her everyday, was dead.

Jun.

The boy who sat beside her every single day.

Jun.

The one who asked for paper every day.

He was dead.

"Jun!"

"I'm sorry."

"I went to your funeral."

"I..."

She gulps.

"I went to your house and..."

"IIUmI saw the n-note..."

"Jun..."

"Why are there paper cranes in your room?"

"I'm crazy,"

"I'm talking to... a dead person all this time?"

She sighs.

"Jun..."

Beep.

.

She just went to his funeral.

She saw his dead body, lifeless, laying in a box that she didn't even expect would happen so soon.

It was too soon.

She went to his house after.

.

She held the note in her shaky hand.

Tear drops falling on to the piece of paper.

She read it again and again.

Again and again and again and again.

Can you believe it?

Her best friend died.

And she didn't even know that he was slowly dying in front of her eyes after all this time she was with him.

Y/n,
I don't really know what to say on this note haha. I've never really made a letter for anyone. Anyway, by now you're in my house, right? (Well of course, how can she read this note wtf Jun) And I guess by now, you already know I'm dead, right?

It's not your fault for not noticing Y/n. Please don't think of that. It will make me sad upon knowing you blame yourself for everything.

Anyway, I'm sorry for leaving so early. I'm sorry for not following our promise of going to places together. I'm sorry I didn't tell you.

I didn't really expect that we'd be this close, actually. I felt happy when you asked me to eat at your table that day. Ahh, I won't forget that day.

It was a special day for me, because it was a start of something I didn't expect.

Good bye, Y/n.

(Because saying "see you later" is creepy lol)

Turn over the paper :)

And when she turned the paper,

she felt sadder.

Her tears was flowing down her cheeks like a waterfall.

She couldn't atop the tears, no. How can she stop the tears?

The back of the letter was enough to break her into pieces.

"Making a thousand paper cranes will grant a wish, right?"

She looks at the huge pile of paper cranes.

"I need a lot of paper."

the back of the letter, that said the most heart breaking thing she could ever read.

I love you.
