You run towards him, a smile on your face as you saw him buying fruits from a nearby stand.
"Y/n?"
"Why have you been absent the past few days? Are you sick? Did something happen to your parents? Are you ok?"
He smiles.
"I didn't know I had this huge impact on you."
"Well, you're my friend."
"A friend who asks for paper everyday."
"Well yeah. But anyways, where have you been?"
"Oh. Well, I'm taking care of my mom."
You sighed.
"You should've messaged me using the internet."
"We don't have wifi."
"What? How can you live without wifi?"
He chuckles as you pursed your lips.
"Jun, can I borrow your phone?"
"Uh, sure?"
He lends you his phone.
You grab your phone and type in his phone number, adding him to your contacts. You did the same with his phone too.
"There."
You smile at him as you give him back his phone.
"Take care of your mom, ok? Take care of her until she gets better, then you could go back to school!"
And you walk away, waving goodbye at the boy.
He looks at his phone, staring at your name in his contacts.

He smiled and looked at your figure, slowly fading away into the distance.
"Well, I'm afraid I can't go back to school then."
