Ready for some romance. Ok. I'm not very good with romance since I'm kind of a tomboy and sadistic, but I've read enough of fanficts and watched anime so I kinda know how it goes. Deal with me this time. Time for some alone time. (Probably no lemon til next chapter still deciding. Have to wait til the end of the chapter. Hehe)

Zero didn't expected to see Yuki after that nightmare. She looked beautiful under the moonlight. No. He couldn't let himself show weakness. Stay cool.

"Goodnight Ms. Yuki."

Ms. Yuki? It sounded so weird. He'd never treated anyone so respectfully. He was used to treat her as Yuki only. But now things were different.

"Ms. Yuki? Zero. We have to talk," said Yuki in a girm voice.

"We have anything to talk about. You should go back to your dorm. It's getting late," said Zero with no emotion at all.

"Yes. We have things to talk about. Look. I know many things have been happening, but we're not getting anywhere acring so cold to each other."

Zero didn't say a word. He knew it was best for them to distance, so the day that their last meeting won't have to be so painful. The day they'll encounter themselves in combat for surviving. He will kill all the pureblooded and Yuki wouldn't be an exception.

"Zero. Talk to me!" Yuki demanded.

"Goodnight."

Without any other word, Zero walked pass Yuki, just as this morning, but this time she didn't stop him. She stayed there, standing alone. It broke her heart to see this situation. She had to clear things between them, including thier feelings.

The next day, it was as cloudy as the day before. The chairman had sent a note to Zero, saying he had to go on another mission. A level-E vampire group was loose in a small village not far from the city next to Cross Academy. He packed his things and hot ready to leave.

When he got to the entrance of the academy, he was surprised by who was stanfing there, waiting. Yuki. She was carrying a bag and her weapon wrapped around a piece of cloth sticking out of her bag. She seemed to have been waiting for him. He froze right there.

"What are you doing here?" Zero asked in a monotone voice, bo expression shown on his face.

"The headmaster said that since he still hadn't found another guardian to cover me, I would have to accompany you in this mission," said Yuki in a calm tone.

"Alright then. I can't do anything."

Zero through his bag over his shoulder and once again walked pass Yuki.

"Alright!" Yuki said surprised, but cheerful at the same time.

A loud thunder was heard. Yuki shivered at the sound of the thunder. She looked up. A drop fell onto her hand. Rain started to fall. They had already arrived at the village and had to find the hotel. Bight catched them quick.

"Let's go. We gotta find the hotel before the rain catches us," said Zero coldly.

Rain fell from the sky in big amounts. They ran at the speed only vampires could, making sure to slow down at the sight of humans. Soon, they found the hotel. It wasn't very big, but worked for a pair of nights.

While Zero checked them in, Yuki looked around the lobby. The smell of coffee and floor cleaner filled the room. The lobby was mostly empty except for the receptionist and them. Exhaustation took over Yuki's body. She hadn't slept very much lately.

"Let's go. We should get some sleep," a voice said ftom behind Yuki.

Zero had gotten the card key to the room. Unexpectedly, it was only one. Did that meant they were going to have to share a room? Yuki was sure Zero wasn't very pleased either. What was the headmaster thinking when reserving the rooms.
