Diamonds are as Good as Glass

I looked at the city from afar

It glittered and shimmered and begged

For me to come near

Which of course I did.

So I began walking towards the city of diamonds

The city of riches

The city of jewels.

And when I got there I saw with me eyes

And never was there such a suprise

Not a city of diamond, but a city of glass

A city where all good things have come to pass

Not a city of jewels, but a city of light

There was never a city so bright.

A city of glass I found that day

But I turned around

And went away
