It’s graduation day.

After being in that hell hole for four years, I was finally free.

My dad forced me to wear a dress, how nice.

But somehow, I’ve gotten used to dresses.

Putting on my graduation cap and gown, Ashton’s sister, Mia was fixing my hair and makeup.

Not wanting to use my contacts, I put on my glasses.

Ashton was meeting me in the ceremony, because he said ‘I have a surprise.’

After putting my sneakers on, together walk downstairs to see my dad talking to Luke’s parents and Luke was playing with the record player.

“C’mon Luke, I’d like you to meet Mia, Ashton’s sister. Mia, this is my best friend, Luke.”

As they shake each other hands, I see Luke eyeing her.

“Okay…”

.

.

.

“Penny Lane Bloom.” The principal announces.

I stand up, walking through the long walkway.

“Thank you, Mr. Diccon.” I smile as he hands me my diploma.

He nods, and I hear Ashton yell, “Wooh Penny!”

As I try to find him, he was sitting next to Calum and Luke.

Ashton and Calum both looked like they were wearing no shirt.

Confused, I walk down and sat down.

After many names called later, Calum was called.

Hearing whistles, I turn around to see Calum Hood naked walking with a soccer ball on his crotch.

Stifling a laugh, the principal just rolls his eyes and hands him his diploma.

Cheering, Ashton was called.

As I watch Ashton stand up, he was holding a soccer ball on his crotch.

He walks past me, his graduation gown trailing behind him.

He then turns around and winks at me before he throws me the soccer ball.

Catching the ball, Ashton was now naked under the gown.

.

.

.

.

“That was real nice.” I comment, as I zip up Ashton’s graduation gown.

We were at the beach, alone from the massive celebration.

“That was the outcome of the bet, Penny. Since you said somehow we both didn’t win, Calum and I made up.” He says.

Kissing him, I put my head on his shoulder

“That’s good.”.

“So what now?” I ask.

“Well we have the Summer.” He answers.

“Then?”

“Well college.”

“And then we won’t have time to see each other anymore.” I sigh.

“We will, we just don’t need to think about it.” He replies.

We watch the ocean in silence, hearing the seagulls.

“Now that you don’t have virgin lips, you told me I was your second kiss. Who was your first?” He asks.

“Uh, Luke.” I quickly respond.

“Really?” He inputs.

I didn’t say anything.

“I love you, Ashton Fletcher Irwin.” I say.

“I love you too, Penny Lane Bloom.” He says back.

“Sing me a song, Ashton.” I whisper.

He then starts singing a familiar song.

“Kiss me out of the bearded barley. Nightly, beside the green, green grass.”

“Can you get any cheesier?”

“Shut up and kiss me.”
