Today was homecoming.

I spent my Saturday morning catching up on studies while most girls were getting ready for the dance.

I was in my room, listening to The Beatles when my dad asked, "Don't you have a-- a prom or something to go to tonight?"

"No dad. I'm not going."

"What, do you have to do your homework or something?"

"Worse, I don't have a date, actually."

"Well I have a handsome young man at the front door waiting for you now."

I quickly run downstairs, having a little hope it was Ashton.

I open the door and find Calum dressed in a tux, holding a corsage.

"I wasn't going to give up, you know." He smiles.

I was dressed in a dress Mia mysteriously left in my room.

I was finally to a dance I've never been before.

I had the corsage pinned on my dress.

"Uh, you put the corsage in your wrist." Calum says taking the corsage off my dress and putting it in my wrist.

"Oh, well I've never been to a dance before so I didn't know..." I trail off.

"Well you're gonna have fun."

I saw him, standing there with Taylor while I was dancing to an unknown song with Calum.

He was wearing a tux, which looked too cute.

For once, his hair was combed.

"Settle down, everyone!" Jamie, head of the dance committee announces.

The music was lowered down, and she was holding an envelope.

"Now it is time for the homecoming king and queen. After about two months of voting on your mobile phones, we have officially counted who is the homecoming king and queen."

"Now ladies first..."

"And this years homecoming queen is... Penny Lane Bloom!"

The lights were flashing and I looked at Calum, who just nodded.

Making my way to the stage, everyone was clapping and cheering.

"Now for the homecoming king..." She opens another envelope.

Please don't be him, please don't be him.

"And this years homecoming king is... Ashton Irwin!"
