Chapter 8

*6 months later*

"How are my little godchildren!" Maya opens the door to Smackle and Zay's apartment

"They are good" Zay walked past handing Maya Camri

"Where's Lucas?" Zay asked seeing nobody next to Maya

"He will be here in about 10 minutes" Maya smiled and walked over to the other child in the crib that was placed next to the couch

"Will you be fine till then" Smackle walks through her bedroom door pulling a scarf around her neck

"Yes, You guys go have fun on your date day!" Maya gave Smackle a hug as they left

"Come on kids it's nap time" Maya picked up the giggling CeCe and walked to the girl's bedroom, after placing CeCe in the crib she went to get Camri

Maya picked up the list that Smackle wrote on what to do while they were gone

"Number 1, Put the kids to sleep and sing something to help them sleep" Maya mumbled to herself

"Okay what to sing?" she talked again

Maya looked up to see a poster of a rainbow on the wall, this sparked an idea

She sat in between the two cribs with her back to the door and started to sing

"Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high There's a land that I heard of, once in a lullaby" She sang softly

"Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue. And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true" Smiles curved into the little girl's faces

Lucas opened the door to the apartment and heard Maya's soft voice quietly singing

"Someday I'll wish upon a star, and wake up where the clouds are far behind me." Maya didn't notice that Lucas was standing behind her

"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me" Maya's delicate voice sent the children's eyes into sleep mode and their eyes got heavy

"Somewhere, over the rainbow, bluebirds fly...Birds fly over the rainbow, why can't, why can't I?" Lucas's heart was soft and in love with her voice, he really loved Maya

"If happy little bluebirds fly, beyond the rainbow, Why, oh, why can't I?" Maya finished the song and stood up quietly smiling at the sleeping faces

Seeing her handle these children like her own made Lucas aware of how big Maya's heart really is. Was this his assurement?

"Lucas! I didn't know you were here" Maya walks over and gives him a hug

"Yea I heard your singing, Didn't want to distract you" he smiled

"My mom, used to sing it to me" Maya went to the kitchen and made them both drink

"It's very cute" Lucas smiles he walks to Maya and holds her waist she turns her around and places a kiss on Lucas's lips

Lucas picks Maya up and put's her on the bench, Maya's legs wrap around his lower back and holds her hands together at the back

Lucas places his hands on the small of her back and pulls Maya closer. Their tongues explore each and every place in each others mouth, Lucas tries to deepen the kiss and pulls her closer to him

*Baby monitor next to Maya sounds the girls crying*

Maya pulls away from Lucas and He picked her up and placed her on the floor

"Come see your godchildren" Maya held his hand and walked into the bedroom

"Aw it's ok" Maya picks up Camri and Lucas picks up CeCe

Lucas rocks CeCe a bit and she slows the tears

"Where troubles melt like Lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Maya sings to the child while walking out to the kitchen

"Apple or Pears" Maya holds up some puree in a packet, Camri pulls the Apple one out of her hand

"Here babes" Maya passes the Pear one to Lucas who opens it and gives it to CeCe

"You like that?" Lucas smiles at the little brunette in front of him

Maya smiles

"Hey guys we are back" Smackle opens the door to see Lucas and Maya feeding her little girls

"Oh hi" Lucas turns to smackle

"Are my children still alive?" Zay walks in

"Yes and fed" Maya stands up and gives Camri to Zay

"Here" Lucas passes CeCe to Smackle

"Thanks for looking after them" Smackle sits at the table with little CeCe in her hands

"Yea Riley and Farkle are coming over in about 20 minutes to see the kids, wanna stay?" Zay asks Maya and Lucas

"We'd love to" Lucas puts his arm around Maya and she smiles

Once Riley and Farkle arrived they had nice talks about what's happening in their life's well Riley played with the children and the rest talked.
