The Barrier

Great. Just great I thought. I had to get myself in more trouble. The man in  the black suite(all of them had black suites on) just sneered at me and grabbed me by the arm vigorously with one hand and the other grabbed Taylor's arm, I'm definitely sure that I was going to get bruises there later.

“Right, any of you move and we won’t hesitate to shoot you” he stopped and carried on “Lord Nicholas’s orders”. He gave me a sceptical look while saying this; probably because I’m the most troublesome person here.

I shrugged my arm; hoping he would get my message of holding me too tight, he just held on tighter. Oh god, what have I got myself into.

The other man next to us had Natalie and Asher and the other man after had Emily and Hernandez. They all had two of us .Trapped.

Once we got to the secluded road and out of the unnerving forest I felt more at ease, not because we were found but because we got out of the forest. Would it be wrong if I was quite content right now; considering the fact that we are getting sent back to the barrier and our plan has been flushed down the drain?

My thoughts were soon interrupted when I saw a big white van at the side of the road. Once we reached the van, more like got heaved down, there were more men waiting there, therefore there is no chance of escaping now. I gaze back at Asher and to say he was angry would be an understatement, he was literally fuming and his whole body seemed tensed, and I glimpsed the tight grip the man had on Asher, there were already red marks on his arm.Two more men came out and opened the back of the van and shoved us in, while the one holding my arm and Taylors accompanied us at the back of the van; probably to make sure we don’t leg it.

There was some type of caged metal separating the driver’s seat and the back of the van. Not even one of us uttered a word, the silence was soon interrupted by the man that was holding my arm previously and he said

“You guys just got yourselves in more trouble” his voice seemed kind of tired and warred out.

“You care because” Asher was the one to talk back and he gave him an irritated look.

“I’m not saying anything but if I were you guys, I would be worried and would feel sorry for myself, Lord Nicholas was enraged when he found out you lots were missing”

“How did he find out” I was the one to talk this time

The man looked back at me, he looked like he was in his early thirties or late twenties, he replied

“That’s none of your concern right now”. What? He answers Ashers question but not mine?

“Hey you, I don’t know what you have against me, but at least answer my question, you answered Ashers” I spoke my mind ,very irritated to say the least.

“Aren’t you the one that planned this whole escape? Of course I would be angry at you because I had to look for you guys for a whole day without any rest”

“Oh so I get the blame now? “I muttered very fast

“Yes, you’re held responsible and Lord Nicholas specifically asked me to send you in first, you’re in for hell. Trust me. And if you come back only with cuts and bruises, I would say you are lucky.”

I just stared at him incredulously with my mouth slightly ajar, and then closed in back again, realising that I looked like a freaking fish.

“b..but it wasn’t even my idea. I swear”

“Then who was it?”

I just stared at him, not daring to give him the answer or looking at Asher; because he was the one who should’ve got blame. Not me.Seriously I hate people getting hurt because of me, so I won’t be a coward and say Asher is all to blame. The others all looked at me expectantly but Asher angry face was wiped out, he looked like he was deep in thought. I just looked away from the man and glared at the side of the van.

Way to go Destiny, for looking more suspicious.

“So obviously it was you, so...” he was interrupted mid -way by Ashers voice saying

“It weren’t her fault, it was mine!”  Asher looked at me ,then at the man.

“As if, you don’t  even know the keys to Lord Nicholas’s office because you’re new and you barely know the way round the barrier”

Every time I hear the word barrier, it just seems like a normal word but to me it isn’t, because evrytime someone mentions the word barrier I get this feeling, I can’t describe it.Barrier,for me that kind of represents the lack of socialising with the people you loved  and your blocked from everything you loved.It's this kind of barricade that separate’s you from your once care free life.

I just remained silent for the whole time while Asher started to spill out the truth, but the man was having none of it, their words just seemed like a blur to me, however what caught my attention was when the man said

“Destiny right? You know Devon?”

I just nodded my head

“yeah,he was the one who informed Lord Nicholas that you guys escaped”

so sorry for not uploading for a long time,it was holiday and kind of had visitors over so... yeah. :/
