[Hi guys, I know I haven't written in ages, so if you forgot what was happening (like me), check

the last chapter before you read this one, or you'll miss some things.]

♠--Tip 19: Being a man is more than dressing the part. Recent studies have shown that women

blink twice as many times as men. Try to curtail your blinking habits and remember that the

projection of being a man is the success to being the only female at an all boys school. Little

things such as blinking mark you as a female. Eliminate the small possibilities in order to

compress your feminine habits that mark you as a female. Think like a man, blink like a man, be

a man. --♠

Roan made his way silently to his room. He didn't want Nicholas to harass him about his

grumpy mood which he likely would after he got a glimpse of his face. He'd be the first to

admit, he was confused. Stressed, agitated and guilty. Above all, the guild gnawed at him.

In the years he had come to know Luc, they never had any secrets between them. No lies

besmirched their friendship. Nothing had ever been this complicated.

Ok, I didn't lie per say. I just...withheld the truth. And this situation isn't that complicated.

He shook his head.

Who are you trying to fool? So you didn't lie, but when Luc finds out how you *withheld* the

truth, and about what you saw, he'll suck your blood dry and feed your body to the onlookers.

Too absorbed in his own thoughts, Roan reached his room. Trying to be as quiet as a tooth

fairy, he turned the knob while praying to all the deities that Nicholas be asleep.

His eyes that were used to the dim lighting in the hallway adjusted to the illuminated room and

then he saw it. Standing in the middle of the room, stood Nicholas. Hands on his hips, one foot

taping the floor.

I guess the Deities are busy tonight.

"Roan."

"Nicholas."

Silence.

Roan shifted his eyes to look at everything in the room seeming to find the neat, clean room

fascinating all the while he could feel Nicholas's eyes boring into him.

Waiting.

Bloody hell. Can this day get any worse! First that...that*kid* messes with my head, after which

I run into the devil incarnates visit, then Luc and now Nick! Why me, for God's sake, why me?

When this day is over, I'll look back and have a great laugh. So the stress from today probably

took a couple of years from my life, no problem. So Luc is going to skewer me. No problem. But

how the heck am I going to get away from explaining this mess to Nicholas.

With the mounting frustration, Roan did the only thing he could. He shrugged, ran his hand

over his face and turned towards Nicholas. Retreat was impossible.
