The car ride was silent once again.

Taehyung knew he had to say something.

"So, do you visit your mother often?"

Stupid question.

"Yeah. I try to visit her everyday so she knows how I'm doing."

"That's sweet."

Pin-drop silence.

"Did you mean all those things?" Taehyung blurred out of the blue.

"About me?"

Jungkook smiled a bit.

"I wouldn't lie to my mother."

The car stopped at a place Taehyung didn't expect to be at this hour.

"The beach? The beach isn't a place to go at almost three in the morning!"

"Ugh you are so uptight!" Jungkook joked.

"Loosen up a little!"

Jungkook took off his shoes and urged Taehyung to do the same.

"Come on!"

Taehyung didn't want to be the reason Jungkook was unhappy, therefore he took off his shoes and stepped onto the sand.

Jungkook and Taehyung started making sandcastles.

Sand got in their nails, but they didn't care.

Taehyung even built a moat for the castle.

"There! Now it's perfect!"

The boys then started playing near the water.

"Is it cold?" Taehyung asked.

"Why don't you tell me?" Jungkook asked as he pushed Taehyung into the water.

Taehyung shrieked.

"AHHH! It's cold!"

Jungkook laughed so hard, his stomach hurt.

"Ah, seriously this kid," Taehyung exclaimed as the pulled Jungkook's arm, forcing him into the water.

"Why you-" Jungkook started splashing Taehyung.

Taehyung splashed him back, but soon, all the laughter and commotion stopped.

The starry sky shone down on their faces, giving them a beautiful glow.

They gazed into each other's eyes.

Jungkook came a little closer to Taehyung.

He could feel his breath on his face.

"What are you doing?"

"Shh," Jungkook said as the cupped Taehyung's cheek into his hand.

"Don't talk."

And with those two words, Jungkook leaned closer and kissed Taehyung.
