Paris is For Me

I sat in my shoe closet for what may have been hours. Giving the information "Shoe Closet" some people might have thought I was a spoiled and bratty rich girl. Which may be true to some extent, but my shoe closet was sort of a hallway to my bathroom. I have over fifty pairs of flawless shoes ranging from four inch heels to sparkly sneakers. I sit on a deep purple velvety chair with a white button in the center. What on earth have I spent the past hours of my life doing? Wondering on whether or not I should quit classes at school.

Quitting the university is a major decision for me. I have invested two years into this school, but with Wesley's mother getting out of jail I might want to leave the country. She isn't that dangerous, but I don't want to live with that hanging over me. I can't live with that hanging over me. I don't even really care about a career, and I have enough money to live extremely lavish for ten lifetimes. If I left I would probably go to Europe or some dream vacation destination. I would have to get Wesley's opinion on that. Yes, if I left the country I most definitely would bring Wesley. He is in just as much trouble as me. I wonder how I would ever tell Daniel about leaving the country. I might not tell him. I can just see exactly how that would go.

Hey Daniel, Guess what? I am leaving the country with the mysterious boy named Wesley who I kept a secret from you! I was thinking about going to a dreamy vacation destination with him!

Yeah, I am sure that would go real well. Note the sarcasm.

I think it would be best if I never told him, although it would probably break his poor pathetic heart. I decide that it would be best for me to leave the country. I can run away from all of the drama. Maybe I will change my name again. Something interesting and foreign, although anything is more interesting than Emma Smith. I was thinking maybe Elle Kanterbury or Samantha Kiliwani. I wonder what Wesley would change his name to?

I text Wesley about my idea.

Me: Wess start packing! Wesley: At 3 in the morning? Me: Tommorow I have an idea Wesley: OMG :) Me: Shut Up. Lets leave the country Wesley: Well that is really important for a text, but what about Danny Boy:) Me: Cut it out and start packing! Wesley: Paris? Wesley: You always wanted to go there! Me: Sure Wesley: Pack a suitcase and I will get in contact with the government about cash, you get us some arrangements.

I look at my phone and it says 'Wesley Calling'. I answer.

"So is this actually happening?"

"Yes."

I spend the next day in an entirely normal fashion. I eat with Maria. Do some errands. At night I sit on my bed with Wesley and we scan through apartments in Paris, France. I have always wanted to go to Paris, because it is well Paris. We decide we definitely need a furnished apartment, and so we look on a website and browse through rentals. Another issue is that we want apartments in the same building. Not next to each other. I think I would go crazy living next to him (I did it in high school and it stunk). At least we have a big budget.

"I like the one with the red furniture for me, but I think that it is not in a good section of the city," says Wesley.

"And it does not have any available openings in the building for me," I add.

Eventually we decide on two luxury apartments with modern furnishings with nearly 300 square meters (not square feet). I make a phone call to the real estate lady. I happen to have learned french from my father, and was fluent at seven. Which helped for my french classes in high school.

"Bonjour, Bienvenue à Theriault Immobilier. Comment puis-je vous aider?" (Hello, Welcome to Theriault Real Estate. How can I help you?) the woman answers.

I respond with a quick "I spend the next day in an entirely normal fashion. I eat with Maria. Do some errands. At night I sit on my bed with Wesley and we scan through apartments in Paris, France. "Oh, I speak English Darling," the woman says.

"Well then can you arrange for the apartments I need?"

"I believe so, but you will have to go through several things to have the money transfered," the woman replies in a very french accent.

The woman helps me with the arrangments, and I bid her farewell.
