My heart is beating like a thousand miles per hour, I didn't want to be exposed like this.
"Violetta, did you make this version of Roxy's song?" [Pablo]
I feel somewhat relieved for not them knowing that I was the true writer of the song.
"I just added a few verses and Maxi was the one to create the track." [Vilu]
"Actually Pablo, there is something you should know. Violetta actually.." [Maxi]
"I actually adjusted a few of the pitches too." [Vilu]
"Well I've got to say that I really like the work the two of you did. Would you mind if we use this version for Roxy's solo?" [Pablo]
"What?!!" [Vilu, Roxy, Maxi]
"Nothing against with what you wrote Roxy, but this gives the song a whole new perspective. Besides Leon's solo is slow and we could use another up beat song. This will be perfect really, Maxi and Violetta will get the credit for the work they put into this version. Roxy will still get credit for her original version." [Pablo]
"I don't have a problem with it." [Maxi]
"Neither do I." [Vilu]
"Well then it's settled. Roxy get ready to rehearse this version as we restart rehearsals." [Pablo]
"Guys that was incredible. Vilu I didn't know you could hit those notes." [Leon]
"Yes babe, you were incredible as always." [Fede]
The room got a bit awkward as Fede was getting completely jealous. What confused me was Leon's reaction. He seemed bothered by the idea that Fede and I are together or at least shows our affection for one another. I thought he's happy to be dating Roxy. Why would my dating life affect him?
Roxy pulls Leon back to the stage room. Before I could leave, my friends stopped me.
"Why did you do that?" [Maxi]
"What? Saved you from telling Pablo." [Vilu]
"Telling Pablo what? The truth." [Maxi]
"Maxi is right. It's not fair that Roxy get's the lead for stealing your song." [Fran]
"I told you Fran, it's no longer my song." [Vilu]
"It is your song Vilu. If Pablo knew the truth, you would be the lead and not Roxy. You deserve credit for your work." [Fede]
"I don't want to be the lead of the showcase. And I am getting credit." [Vilu]
"Only for the verse you added and the pitch adjustment." [Cami]
"You are talented Violetta. We don't want you to be walked over by Roxy." [Fede]
"Guys, losing one song is not that big of a deal. If the day of the showcase is getting closer and we need to focus on our parts. No one will care about who is the real songwriter of a song when we are almost through with the school year. Please, if you are my friends and care about me, don't say anything to Pablo." [Vilu]
I leave in frustration. I understand they care about me, but saying the truth now without any proof will just be a waste of time. We have to focus on the showcase and finishing the school year.

Wow! I love the new version of Roxy's song, and Violetta wrote it. Somehow the song was natural to her, like as if it was her song. Maybe it's just how she was able to manipulate the pitches, but still I have a gut feeling that there is something else. Whatever it is I need to find out.
Maxi hooks up his track to the speakers in the performance room, everyone grabs a chair and sits down. Roxy is at the front of the class and performs Violetta's version of Underneath It All. Everything was great until her voice cracked when trying to hit the highest note.
"Stop! Roxy are you ok?" [Pablo]
"Yes Pablo. I think I need to rest my voice. I've been practicing a lot so maybe I should take it easy." [Roxy]
"I agree. We will practice your solo the next rehearsal. I believe that will be it for the day. Before you all leave I will like to see ten of you stay for a discussion... Andres, Broadway, Camilla, Federico, Francesca, Leon, Ludmilla, Maxi, Nati, and Violetta. Everyone else may leave." [Pablo]
I have no idea why he needs to talk to us, but I can't imagine it has to do with the showcase. I tell Roxy to wait for me outside of the classroom so we can walk home together. After everyone leaves we wait for Pablo to start talking.
"Alright kids, I've asked you to stay behind because I have a guest who I want you all to meet. This is my good old friend Antonio Juarez." [Pablo]
"Hello kids. I am here because I am the owner and temporary director of Studio On Beat." [Antonio]
"Many of you have already heard about the studio opening up. If not, Studio On Beat is a private school to study music. Antonio helps students with the passion of music to achieve their dreams of becoming a singer, dancer, producer, songwriter, etc. Antonio asked me to pick ten students that I believe would like to have an opportunity of attending to the studio." [Pablo]
We all gasp and smile for excitement.
"Pablo has talked so highly of each and everyone of you. That's why I am going to be examining you all at the showcase. How you perform and the level of professionalism. If I feel like you all have the potential of what it takes to be successful, then I will automatically enroll you in the studio." [Antonio]
"Now this does not mean that you are better than anyone else, but that you must work harder. If Antonio does not feel like you are not ready, you will not be excepted in. I recommended the ten of you because you've shown me within this year your passion, hard work, and the kind of artist that you are. I hope none of you will let me down." [Pablo]
"In that case, it was a pleasure to meet all of you and I will be seeing you guys at the show. Break a leg." [Antonio]
We all head home feeling amazing. Unfortunately I have to tell Roxy, who was not included.
"So what did Pablo wanted?" [Roxy]
"He wanted us to meet the owner of the studio that will be opening near by for the next school year." [Leon]
"Ok, but why only the ten of you?" [Roxy]
"Well he asked Pablo to pick ten students that could possibly get early acceptance and enrollment in the studio." [Leon]
"Wow...You must be very excited. I am happy for you." [Roxy]
"I'm not sure if I buy it." [Leon]
"Ok, I am bummed that Pablo didn't include me in the ten students. However, you were chosen. I am happy for you, really." [Roxy]
"I am sorry that you were not included. But thank you for being supportive of me." [Leon]
"I will always support you. Which reminds me, tonight we can't hang out." [Roxy]
"Why not?" [Leon]
"Because I am keeping my promise to you. Violetta invited me to her sleep over with Francesca and Camilla, I decided to go." [Roxy]
"Well then by all means. I will probably have a guys night. Hope you have a good time." [Leon]
Today couldn't have been a better day. With Violetta and Roxy getting along, everything is perfect.
