two- a surprise

"mark! hey, wait!" i ran up to him, panting.
"didn't I tell you to wait for me just now?"
he kept walking.
"right...awkward." i muttered.
"wait, where are we going? isn't the cafeteria there?" i asked, puzzled. the sign on the board said so.
silence.
Well, at least he isn't telling me to go away.
"get lost." he stopped walking, turning to me.
"wow, you spoke."
he glared at me.
"look, i won't get lost. not yet."
he rolled his eyes and continued walking.
at that time, mark thought that she was a stubborn girl, and thought that she would leave soon, so he allowed her to follow her.
mark brought her to the rooftop, taking a seat on the bench.
"the rooftop...it's relaxing." i breathed out. i could feel the breeze and somehow felt carefree here.
we just sat like that in silence, until i broke it.
"um, hey, why don't you speak?"
"lazy."
hm, he replied.
"aren't you gonna eat?" i said, as my stomach growled.
so embarrassing...
wait, hold on. my eyes aren't playing tricks on me, right?
I thought I saw him smile a little.
to my surprise, he took out his sandwich and gave it to me.
"what about you?"
he shook his head in reply.
with his sandwich in my hands, i took a big bite. it was delicious.
"pig." he muttered.
"what?" i gasped in disbelief.
"no. nothing."
"yah!" i hit his arm.
this time, a gasp escaped his lips. he held onto his arm, groaning in pain.
"serves you right." i grinned triumphantly.
then, to my huge huge surprise,
he grinned back.
