Miera's POV

 

Time passed.

I kept track of how long it was to my eighteenth birthday.

At last, I reached the two month mark.

Gaara and I were so close, but Temari and Kankuro had no idea about us.

One night, I was silent as I looked out the window.

I had one month and two days until my birthday.

It was time to leave, but I didn't want to.

I felt Gaara's hands on my shoulders.

“What's wrong?” he asked.

“It's time,” I said softly.

“What do you mean?”

I turned my head to look at him.

“It's time for me to leave,” I said.

“No, it can't be,” he said.

“Gaara, you can't stop my destiny any more than I can. It's time,” I sighed.

“I won't let you leave,” he said, shaking his head.

“You said that if I choose to go, you'll let me,” I said.

“But that was before we got together,” he said quickly.
