" Nothing happened. it was just that, both of us had gotten engaged in one activity to another, what with his Master-of-the vamp's dutties and my fencing lessons we just haven't got the chance to talk yet."

i lied.

Allen just grinned and when ithought he was going, he stopped to lean and whisper in my ear,

" you're a terrible liar Ange, but no matter, now i know for sure that something did  happen between you two. though what, i bet David would have better luck prying."  before i could protest, he was already walking toward the now, open double doors to greet his brother, who had just entered.

i was more than thankful when one of the red-cloaked proctors announced the start of the sixth test.  and i immediately made a beeline  toward the raised platform that would serve as our battlering, and watched my opponent leap in one, graceful bound to stand  a few feet away from me.

we both shifted into a fighting stance.  one leg ahead of the other, shoulders straight, directly aligned where our neck met the shoulder.
