GINGER'S VIEW

Whatever. I couldn't believe it at all. It didn't make sense and it made sense. He wouldn't....but I saw it. He seemed bewildered, confused, and even frustrated at my "accusations." I was over and I had to begin my healing process on my own. Maybe it was for the best and maybe Rex and I were supposed to be back together for good. Maybe, just maybe.

2 days more and my parents would be back. It was a big deal. As of now, we were waiting for the supply of the antidote to arrive at Dr. Ellie's. I was back home....watching T.V or rather staring at the screen. I remembered Chris. He was gone. I had no idea where but his family moved. I was glad they did. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I pulled it out and checked the caller ID. My mum.

"Hello sweetheart!" My mum spoke as I picked up.

"Hey mum."

"How are you? I'm so sorry honey. We wanted to come over-" She was saying but I cut her off.

"Its alright mum, I'm out of the hospital. Dr Ellie said I was good to go."

"I know, but we just feel terrible. We're so proud of you, you have no idea. Your dad speaks so higly of you here." She said and I laughed.

"As long as he doesn't exaggerate, I'm fine with it." It was her turn to laugh.

"We won't be home in 2 days. Make that a week. Reed's sending the antidote and we have to see to it that it is dispersed correctly."

"Oh. So I cleaned the house for nothing?" I asked. She chuckled and sighed.

"I know you didn't leave the house a mess, you're too neat for that." She said. True. "So, how's Rex?"

"Rex is...Rex."

"Oh come on, honey....are you two getting along better?"

"Yeah,we are." I replied. It was kinda true.

"Alright. Remember....you two have your bonding ceremony in September." She cheered happily.

"Of course. How could I forget?" I replied sarcastically. We bid our farewells and hung up. I was happy to hear her voice again. I truly did miss her and honestly didn't want her knowing about how quick my life had spun out of control. Maybe she wasn't supposed to know about James or we were never a good match in the first place. Or I could be thinking too hard. I didn't care. Right now, I just want to watch the screen.....

10:00pm in the Evening....

I heard a scuffle outside and I got up to check it out. I stepped outside and into the warm air, searching for the problem. Three neighbourhood cats were chasing each other and heading straight for my yard.

"If I don't skin you all alive this evening, so help me!" I said and went after them. Must have been Mrs. Hellers. Maybe this was a payback for not watching them. Once I opened the door to the yard, they came scurring out again. They better run.

"Damn pussies!" I muttered. And walked back into the house, but I still checked to make sure they didn't return. As I walked into the living room, I felt someone else in the room with me. Or rather, my wolf senses were tingling. I walked quietly, searching every corner of the living room.

"Who's there?" I demanded, desperately trying not to allow a growl escape my throat. No answer. I heard something get knocked over upstairs. I bolted up the stairs and turned right, still making sure I remained vigilant. The air was cold. A vampire or a ghost or my air conditioner just died. As I turned towards my laundry room, cold hands pulled me by the waist into the dark laundry room. I knew who it was. But what I wanted to know was how he got in. He shut the door behind me, still holding on to my waist.
