Chapter 39
Chase the Sun

Arianne Shawna's POV:

Nasa sasakyan kami ni Brett ngayon. After ko maligo he asked me to pack an overnight bag. i don't know kung saan kami pupunta but when I asked him earlier ang sagot niya lang sakin: "We're going to chase the sun."

Di na ko kumontra since I was tired to do so. And I am not feeling myself. Kaya sinunod ko na lang ang gusto niya. Since pumayag naman na talaga ako na pagbigyan siya whatever he wants to do today.

So ngayon he was driving and palayo na kami sa metro I think we will be heading south..Base na din sa daan na tinatahak namin. Well I don't care where Brett takes me naman, as long as I'm with him. Funny, how I got so comfortable with him when we've just met.

So we're on the road and I focused on sightseeing. Sinusundan ko lang ng tingin ang mga dinadaanan namin. Brett was also focused on driving. And the also noise you can hear was the song being played from the stereo. It was an Eraserheads classic talking about flying in alapaap.

I decided to be the first one to break the ice between us. When a thought suddenly struck on my head.

"Hey, I was just wondering aren't you busy today?" I suddenly asked. Kasi hello, sa aming dalawa Brett, he was the one who has a tight schedule. And it just piqued my curiousity why he will be spending his day with me.

Not that I don't like him spending his time on me. It's just that knowing this man he has a lot on his plate. Ayako naman na makasira ng schedule niya no.

"Hmm? Why'd you ask?" He said an he glance at me pero sandali lang kasi hello baka mabunggo kami or something.

"Wala curious lang. Don't you have work today?" I said shrugging.

"No, love. Priorities first." He said at kinindatan pa ako ng loko! He even did his favorite move. He held my hand and brought it to his mouth to give it a kiss. At di na niya yun binitawan. He drove with one hand.

After two and a half hours we reached a what looks like a rest house. Malapit siya sa dagat so you could see the waves crashing on the shores. Wow! It looks so breathtaking.

Modern minimalist ang peg ng bahay. It was huge but not too grandiose. It was all white like a pearl inside the clam. It was a hidden gem kasi di mo siya mapapansin agad since it was surrounded by trees. Oh! I feel like I will enjoy my stay here.

Pumasok na kami ni Brett. I was busy surveying the place. Medyo konti lang ang furnitures. Mukhang hindi talaga tinitirahan itong bahay. Cream colored walls with wood furnishings ang interior. It was almost the same as Brett's house in the Metro.

Kaso ito puro salamin yung bahay. Kaya naman di mo na kailangan na magbukas ng ilaw. The natural lighting from the windows are illuminating the whole house.

"This is my rest house, baby. Now it's also yours." Sabi ni Brett ng bigla na lang niya ako binigyan ng back hug. Na touch naman ako sa akin din itong bahay. He was sharing his properties to me. Shocks!

"It's nice. Though mukhang wala naman nagstay dito but it still looks clean." I said at tinabingi ko ang ulo ko to see him. Binigyan niya naman ako ng kiss sa forehead. Gosh!

"I had it clean before we arrived. Saka may helper na nag maintain dito. Do you like it?" He asked. Tumango naman ako at binigyan siya ng ngiti.

"Come I'll show you our room." He said at hinila na ako paakyat.

The room was huge. May TV sa tapat ng king sized bed. Tapos overlooking siya sa dagat and it has a balcony with a freaking jacuzzi! OMG! May small couch din may if you want to enjoy the view of the sea while inside. The bathroom was huge too. May bathtub! This is luxury.

Brett dropped our bags on the couch ako naman binuksan ko agad ang glass door papunta sa balcony. Sinalubong naman ako ng sea breeze. Pinikit ko ang mata ko ng maramdaman ang malamig na haplos ng hangin. This feels so relaxing.

Nilipad ang buhok ko. Ugh! Nakakatempt magswimming. I really love beaches. It gives me peace. Siguro sirena ako dati. Haha.

"Honey ko! Swimming tayo sa dagat!" I excitedly exclaimed. At nilingon si Brett. He was arranging our things in the closet.

"Sure, love. If that's what you want. Your wish is my command." He said flashed me his boyish grin that could melt any girl's heart then he winked at me playfully that could make any woman drool. Gosh! Brett ang landi mo.

"Ay! Wait! Wala pala akong dalang swimwear!" I said panicked. My Gosh! If I had known na sa beach kami pupunta ni Brett I will came in prepared. Nadismaya naman ako sa isip. Ano ba yan! I really want to swim.

"Don't be dismayed, love. We can buy naman." He said at di ko napansin na nakalapit na pala siya. Hinaplos niya ang pisngi ko and still his smile is not fading. Gosh! At parang nag full charge bigla ang excitement ko. Halos pumalakpak ang tenga ko sa tuwa. 

"Talaga? Then let's go! What are we waiting for? We should not waste any time, love." I said to him. At para akong bata na pinangakuang ibibili ng laruan ng hatakin ko na siya palabas. I was so giddy! Natatawa naman si Brett na nagpahila na lang.

Malayo ang pinaka mall dito kasi mukhang walang gaanong tao sa lugar. But we find an almost mall like establishment. It was really a grocery store but I was surprised to find out that it has a department store also. Thank God!

Pumasok na kami konti lang ang tao. We firat went to the department store area, I was pulling Brett. And excitedly went to the swimwear area. He was just laughing and telling me to slow down. But I just can't contain my excitement. So ayun nagpahila na lang siya.

There weren't a lot of choices around here since it was a small shopping center. There were some rash guards and some one pieces. Pero wala akong type. But wala na kong time maginarte pa since this all impromptu. I have to choose on what's here so that I could finally enjoy the waters.

In the end I chose a royal blue two piece bikini.

"Is that all?" Brett asked me.

"Oo okay na 'to." I assured him and gave him my goofy smile. Ngumiti naman din siya sa akin at inakbayan na ko papunta sa counter.

"Honey ko, saan pala tayo kakain?" I asked him. Natapos na kami magbayad and we are heading out. Syempre si Brett ang nagbayad wala na kasi akong work. Fulltime housewife na kasi ako ngayon. Hahaha. Chareng!

"Do you want to eat here?" He asked me. Holding hands while walking pa kami no. Hahaha. OMG! Kilig is me.

"Hindi pa naman ako gutom e. Ikaw ba?"

"Hindi pa din." He answered.

"Sa bahay na lang tayo kumain. Luto ka na lang. Hehe." Lambing ko sakanya at yumapos na po ako sa braso ng mister ko. OMG! PDA is real. Hahaha.

"Oh that. We don't have stocks there. Might as well we do some grocery shopping too." He said. Hala! Ako lang ba kinikilig sa pagaaya niyang magrocery shopping kami? I'm really damned.

Kaya ayun we walk hand in hand patungo sa grocery section ng shopping center. We left the swimwear we bought at baggage counter. Then kumuha na si Brett ng pushcart.

I was just walking with him.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked me.

"Ikaw bahala. Cook me your favorite. Surprise me." I said to him. Naiiling naman na natatawa sa akin si Brett.

"Alright. Whatever my wife says." He said at inabot niya ang kamay ko para hawakan. Ang sweet lang talaga niya. I didn't know na ang swerte ko pala.
