  "It's my mother.."

Did I hear right? Had Mrs. Gabrielli have something to do with Alexia leaving me at the alter? Did she not want her child to be happy?

"Wait a minute. Nikolai, what is the meaning of this? What do you mean that Natalia had something to do with you and Camden getting a divorce? What do you mean that she also had something to do with Alexia leaving Ethan at the altar?"

Nikolai looked towards my father and nodded. I didn't know Natalia could be so... So... So evil to see that her children aren't happy.

"My mother had something to do with Alexia leaving Ethan at the altar, I am not sure how but I do know how she broke me and Camden up. She had given me pictures of Camden cheating on me. At first I didn't believe her then she started saying why would she be coming home late most nights. When I saw that she had been coming home late, I believed that she had in fact had been cheating on me. But my mistake was not actually confronting her about it and just believing my mother. Turns out that all of it was a play for her to separate us, I guess we weren't the first ones to do it."

It did make sense, Natalia was indeed the person to last see Alexia before she left. She had given me the letter that Alexia wrote for me, telling me why she was doing what she had done. The letter had said that she didn't love me, that it was all a joke, that she only dated me for fun and then it was too end it since I had proposed. How could I be so naive? But why would she do something like that? My father looked puzzled.

"The Natalia that I know wouldn't do any such thing, all she wanted was that her children were happy. Are you sure it had been Natalia?"

'The Natalia that I know'? Did my father know of Natalia before any of this happened?

"Dad, what do you mean by 'the Natalia that I know'? How do you know Natalia besides her being Nikolai's mother and Gregori's wife?"

  Nikolai interrupted me.

  "Ex wife. Gregori's ex wife."

I was shocked, he divorced her?

"Well, before I met your mother, I was in a relationship with Natalia. She was the woman my parents wanted me to marry Natalia. We were engaged for three years since I wanted to finish my schooling before we got married. My senior of college, I met your mother and fell madly in love with her. I called off the engagement. My parents agreed since they also fell in love with your mother. When I told Natalia, she took it well, she didn't lash out at me like I thought she would. She had been so kind and understanding about the whole thing that I can't see her as a person that would harm her children. Are you sure it is your mother Nikolai?"

  Nikolai nodded at my father.

"Yes, my father had told me before they had gotten married she had been a different person. Up until Alexia was born and you had Ethan Mrs. Beverly, she had been a loving mother and a happy person. Once she saw the two of you getting closer, my father said that she completely changed. She would always punish Lexia and always tried to keep you two away. I noticed it too, when I started dating Camden, my mother stayed in the shadows, but when she found out that you two were engaged she became even more quiet, never going out, never doing anything sociable. The day of your wedding I didn't see mother for a while and then the next thing I know you come down the aisle all shocked and in tears, telling us that the wedding was off. You took off without a word and so did  Alexia. My mother then became sociable again and going out. The day I told her that I was getting married she screamed at me, at first I thought she was excited for me but then now I realized that she was angry with me. She let me marry Camden but then a year later she started planting ideas in my head, saying Camden had been cheating on me. She also had evidence of it but later I found out she had faked the pictures. My mother is the reason why I had divorced the one person I wanted and still want to grow old with. My mother is not right in the head, I think she wants to see your children in pain, as much pain she had been when you left her Mr. Beverly."
