Well it does to me!! This chapter is going to have a lot of father son moments, not just from Nikolai and Michelangelo, but also Nikolai and Gregori, and Conrad and Vincent. Nikolai had watched Camden get ready to leave to meet up with her brother. He didn't want her to leave so soon but he knew that if she didn't leave then Conrad would even be more angry with him. Mickey had been in his arms playing with his father's hair. He looked at his father.
"Papa, where mommy going?"
Nikolai smiles and kisses his cheeks making Mickey giggle.
"Mommy has to go help your zio Conrad with some paperwork. So you are going to stay with me today. That is if mommy lets you stay with me. Do you want to stay with me?"
Mickey nods and looks towards his mother. She had just grabbed her purse and keys to head out. She turns to her little family and smiled. She walked over to her two men and stood on her tippy toes and kissed Mickey on the cheek. He bent over and went with his mother and hugged him. He snuggled into her chest and she smiled when she felt her son kiss her neck. She then turns to Nikolai and he kisses the top of her head. He then looks down into her eyes.
"Can you take care of Mickey while I am gone? I would take him with me but I think it would be better for you to get to know him more. It also gives me the excuse to see you two bond while I am gone."
Nikolai laughed and gave her a peck on the lips.
"Of course, I would love to watch over my piccolo, go don't worry about us. We will have fun while you are gone!"
Camden smiles and passes Michelangelo back to his father after hugging him one last time and walked towards the door. She knew Nikolai had been capable of taking care of his son, she just had this feeling that of happiness that took over her. She ran back to her little family and kissed Nikolai on the lips. Nikolai had not expected that but he kissed her back. Mickey giggled and clapped his hands. He hugged both of them to his chest as they kissed. Both of them smiled against each other's lips. Nikolai pulled away and kissed her forehead.
"Go, we will be fine. Conrad is waiting for you. I bet you he is going to call in a bit to ask where the hell you are and why you aren't there with him yet."
Camden chuckled and finally left after saying her goodbyes. That only left Nikolai and Mickey to do whatever boys do best.
"How about you and me strip down to our underwear and socks, sit on the couch and watch action movies?"
Mickey looked at his dad and shook his head. Then he squirmed out of his daddy's arms so he could be put on the floor. Nikolai placed him on the floor, Mickey giggled and ran away.
"Catch me daddy!"
Nikolai laughed and started chasing his son around the penthouse. While chasing him, Nikolai saw that Mickey had been taking his clothes off which made him laugh even more. He followed the trail and it led to the couch he had found him earlier. He heard the giggling and the mumbling of his son. He bent over the back of the couch to see what Mickey had been doing. He sat with his back facing the couch and his face facing the wall. Nikolai smirked and reach in for his son who screamed when he was caught. Nikolai tickled him and laughed with his son. Mickey screamed with laughter as his father tickled him. They kept chasing each other around the penthouse, having the best time. After a while Mickey got tired and hungry so the men both went into the kitchen to see Mrs. Daae smiling and making them lunch. Nikolai placed the boy in the high chair that he had bought him the day before so he can eat. Then he sat in his seat next to him, Mrs. Daae smiled again and placed a plate of food in front of each of the men and they both grabbed their utensil the same way, at the same time, and put it into their mouth at the same time and the same way. She chuckled and shook her head. You can never say that the two weren't father and son. You cannot deny it. While they had been eating their food, there had been a knock at the door. Nikolai went to get it but Stanley had called through the house that he would get it. Nikolai went back to eating with his son. Mickey had gotten some of the food on his nose and Nikolai made fun of him, especially when he had told him that he had something on his nose. He crossed his eyes to look if there had been something there making Nikolai laugh even more. Mickey got it and laughed as well, Mrs. Daae had not heard so much laughter in the house in so long. She loved it, so did Stanley. Stanley came into the kitchen with someone accompanying him, mickey saw him and gasped. He reached for the visitor and giggled when he was picked up.
