When You Left

As I see you walking away

Throwing me back into the fray

Of having to fight for what I love

Only to get a push and a shove

There will be no way

To be truly the same

As when you threw me away

And set my world aflame

I'm not sure why

You never said bye

But I do know this

I'm at the bottom of an abyss

You tend to return every once in a while

To my wandering mind

You tend to turn my eyes into the flooding Nile 

For you will never break the bind
