Sit with the beat
The chair isn't fair with you sitting right there
With your hair in a knot
Not a care in the world or a pot for the piss

I sat outside the recording booth, practicing the verse I was about to record. I felt great today, stress free and happy, two things I haven't felt in a while.

Which we share cause a pair costs a lot
Not a pear in the world that the world wouldn't miss much as this

It's been a week since India and I have spoken about what happened in the past. Since then, everything has been running smoothly.

After talking things out, seeing my daughter, and writing forgiveness, we agreed to be friends, and planned out a way I could see my Kinsley often.

And if it isn't the same then it's apples and lemonade
Can't stand for a Minute Maid man with an iPod
If I got locked up would you see me at the end of my sentence?
White dot.

I was excited to record Miracles today, just because God has sent a lot of miracles my way. Bring India back into my life was a miracle, meeting the boys and creating the Social Experiment was a miracle. I watched Kinsley crawl over to Cottontale. He picked her up and she started playing with his hair.

"Hey little Chano." He said to her, she giggled. Kinsley is just a miracle in herself.

I stood from the chair and made my way inside of the booth. I located my headphones and positioned myself in front mic, watching for my cue.

buy pot with what I got
Which I got from, fuck, still ain't did shit with the beat
The stair isn't there when your feet needed therapy
And their approval, a shoulder to lean on

From when it gets shivering cold with the heat on
In a trance with the beat gone
Realising that you should never speak on things done
People keep it a secret and keep goin'
Ain't no reason to keep on thinkin'
There's something deeper there's China up under my garden
Tryna break bread stop beggin' my pardon
My lead is astray, let's get an apartment
With a dog and a song that I wrote you this morning
Uh!

"Chano, my guy, you got a second ?" Donnie called out from behind my door. I was actually about to go drop Kinsley back with her mom, since it was Sunday afternoon and I had her since Friday, but eh.

"Yea man, wassup?" I opened the door for him before packing up Kinsley's baby bag.

"I just wanted to check up on you. You seem much happier since the last time we talked, that's good." He said to me.

"Yea dawg, I'm doing good. Got my daughter, made amends with India, so I'm pretty set." I responded smiling. Donnie nodded in comprehension.

"What about that pretty nurse," he paused and scratched at his beard, "What's her name ? Lani?"

My smile faded.

"Kehlani."

[A/N: the nurse is Kehlani for those who didn't know. I'm going to use her real name from now on because every other character's real name is being used. Doesn't make sense to use a made up name lol. So Anastasia is now Kehlani]
