She needed approbation
To know if she was okay
She wanted someone to expostulate with
Because she knew she wasn’t okay
She didn’t want to be jaded
But she sure seemed ‘cool’
To fit in with all the others
Was this really the approbation she needed to be
The true her
There was no real person out there to expostulate with
So she only had a mirror
She wasn’t irritates
But she knew how to ameliorate
She learned that only she could tell herself what she needed
She had no aplomb
Or great self confidence
That was okay for her to see
For all the approbation she needed
Was The approbation that came from thee
