San Angelo
Who knew
Who knew
That you would be important to me one day
I laughed
I snickered
Over the title
Of Sheep Capital of the world
For San Angelo
You are my city
No matter what
That can’t change
So I’ll sing your song
San Angelo
In place people think is mellow
But around the world
Around the state
You will always be my city—my home
San Angelo
You are not San Antonio
S.A your initials—they gleam
For San Angelo
You are my city
As a teenager
You were boring as it seems
However you are not what I thought was
At first
But now I understand
That you’ll be my home
No matter the distance
For San Angelo
You are my city
