I never thought flowers be pretty

I always thought flowers be small

Flowers are weeds in my eyes

Why blossom a beauty at all

I am not a flower

I am a disaster

I am animal instead

A deer

A rabbit

Anything

I am not a flower you see

Flowers they bloom

I assume

I become one with it all

With a gallop or a daze

I am one with nature

However, I am not a flower

Flowers are not me

They don’t describe

If I were a plant I’d be

A Venus fly trap

A carnivore.

Do not detest me

For there are flowers

And they are not me

I’m a unique bud

I spout and eat

I am not a flower

In fact

I dare to be
