I’ll put up this challenge and start today.
This is an interesting way to learn.
Three to five words a day?
Let’s try it
And by the end of the week
I’ll have it
I’ll elicit you
And I know you’re jaded
But bear with me
We’ll have a break but not too long of a hiatus
I didn’t catch your innuendo that you were more than just tired
I know it’s a lot to ask from you since I’m asking for you to not be hackneyed
But you’re originality is starting to waver
I called you forth so we could try
To make up something new
This old is worn-out but we bring it back and refurbish it to make it anew.
We cannot take too long of a break for if we do we may make a mistake
The hints you give are ones unspoken and that’s why I can’t understand
For I am original and I do not hack
At the same I am somewhat hackneyed
For this poem itself is based off of someone else’s suggestion
I’ll try this again and probably later because so far I like this.
I do not know
If I used the words perfectly
But at least I have gotten started
This is for you
And for me too
I think this might be fun
To continue on
And try to learn
Because learning
Is something
That I love to do.

*I may write a whole poetry book over this once I'm finished with this one. I'll finish one of my current poetry books first but this was quite fun :)!
