OMG HAPPY NEW YEAR YOU GUYS!

Gahhh! I'm so sorry I haven't updated for a couple days! This chapter had me stuck for some reason and I don't know why. I wasn't in a deep, affectionate writing mood for several days so...

I don't know about you guys, but 2014 is gonna be a great year! I can just sense it. I mean, my three favorite shows, The Fosters, Switched at Birth and Pretty Little Liars come on in January, Divergent comes out in March and THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 IS OUT IN MAY! GAHHHH!!! Oh, and the One Direction concert is in July! Ugh, this is gonna be a great year, really.

So I've been babbling a bit more than usual, but I want to show you guys that I'm friendly. I'm a nice person. At least, that's what people tell me so I actually hope I am.

Anyway, this chapter will leave you hanging again, but not too hanging. Enjoy their captivating story! I know it's fun to write!

Chapter 15

Andrew...

He's the only thing that's been on my mind lately. More frequently than normal.

Kyle knocks on my bedroom door as I start to deeply think about Andrew again. "Can I talk to you for a second?"

Oh shit, he's going to sit on me. What I can't figure out, though, is what I did wrong. I don't think he's upset with me about something.

"Sure," I answer, sitting on the foot of my bed with a pair of my favorite Reebok socks in my hands. "Am I in trouble?"

"You're treating me like I'm Mom or Dad." He smiles. "I've noticed you and Andrew have been spending a lot of time together lately."

Damn it, he mentioned his name. It's now a trigger to make my mind go insane.

His eyes...

His smile...

His everything...

"What's your point?" I ask, slipping on my favorite socks.

He puts his arm around me, startling me a little. "Do you want to tell me something?" I look at him and shake my head immediately. He knows I'm lying; he can see right through my soul. Groaning, I lie on my back and sink into the mattress.

"Damn you, Ky," I say.

He smirks and lies down next to me, hooking his hands together neatly on his stomach. "When were you planning on telling me that you're in love with my best friend?"

I bump his shoulder with my own. "I'm not in love with him. It's just...a crush. It can't be love."

Ky raises his eyebrows. "Claire, it has to be more than a crush. You smile a lot more around him than you do around anyone else. I make you smile a lot, but not as much as Andrew."

I sigh out a laugh. "I'm not going to let it turn into anything, Kyle, don't worry. I know it's probably weird enough for me to be admitting that I'm in love with your best friend."

"Make up your fucking mind, Claire. Are you in love with him or not?" Kyle looks over at me and smiles.

Shit. What am I letting myself say?

"I'm not in love with him," I conclude. I pull myself up from the bed and straighten my clothes.

Kyle imitates my movements and looks around my room. He doesn't come in here often, mainly because I kick him out before he can speak. There's nothing special about it, though; it's just a normal teenage girl's room. But Kyle seems fascinated.
