My mistake (apology to the world)

I'm sorry that I can't be funny,

I'm sorry I'm not made of money,

I'm sorry I'm not loud,

that I don't answer proud,

of who I am and what I have become.

I'm sorry I won't take a chance,

sorry, but I just won't dance.

I'm sorry that I'm scared.

My soul is teared.

Sorry I'm too nice,

you don't have to tell me twice.

Why so serious,

at least I'm not delirious.

Most of the time.

Sorry I have dreams,

sorry I'm not at all what I seem,

to be.

Sorry my tastes, my joy, my family,

surprise all those who make an attempt to see.

I'm sorry for being me.

But don't you know,

I don't even get how to show,

who that is.

I'm sorry for the awkwardness,

sorry I didn't laugh.

I'm sorry my mind works different than yours,

Sorry for all the riffraff.

Sorry I try,

but all you give is a fake smile,

and a sigh,

a few s.m.h's along the way.

I'm sorry I want things said to my face

sorry I always feel out of place.

I'm sorry you don't understand,

my situation here at hand.

Sorry for being so shy,

but I barely know you, so why,

wouldn't I be?

I'm sorry for this, I'm sorry for that,

so why not be me, where would that leave me at?

I'm sorry, but I have no clue,

would you like me, not trying to be you?

Sorry to take up your time,

on this silly nursery rhyme.

I'm sorry I'm not,

I'm sorry I am,

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Apologizing is a sign of weakness.

Sorry for being sorry.

It's just who I am.

Will you,

take me,

for me?
