CHAPTER 13

THE BADDEST DELINQUENTS

“TWINS”

WRITTEN BY: VASILISA ROSEMARIE SABINA

I woke up by someone giving me a morning peck on the tip of my nose. I don’t exactly know where we are but I think we’re in the province. Alexander bought this rest house with the help of Pocholo. It’s been a week since Alexander and I ran away and let me tell you this, we’re totally f[u]cked up. We don’t know how to cook. One week na kaming nag bu-burger at pizza and I’m very sick of it. I still can’t believe this is happening; Alyona and Limochin, having an affair and it’s bulgar. Everyone can see it. Anastasia being a monster then she called off my wedding with Alexander. Alexander and I running away. I mean, ran away. This is so sudden. Ah, define “sudden”.

“What do you think you’re doing, Alexander the Great?” I asked him as I raised my eyebrow nang bigla niyang kunin niya ‘yung phone niya.

“What?”

“Magluluto tayo. Hindi mag o-order.”

“You’re insane. We can’t cook and you know it.”

“Sure, of course. Stand up.”

God. Really. Cooking is disgusting. I hate cooking. Ugh. What to do? Man. This isn’t my thing.

“So . . .”

“So, so ka dyan. Ano?!” pag susungit ko sa kanya.

"What to do?" tanong naman niya.

“First, let me go.”

“Pocholo is going to visit you later,” he suddenly said. I flinched.

This is it. I thought.

“I thought ayaw mo kay Pocholo.”

“Well. He helped me but that doesn’t want him to be my friend. Malapit siya sa ‘yo and I don’t like that. He’ll just visit and done, bayad na ‘yun sa pag tulong niya sa ‘kin,” paliwanag niya habang nilalagay ko sa plato ‘yung itlog na niluto ko.

“Sh[i]t,” I muttered to myself. Nabasag ‘yung yolk.

“Is that what you called sunny-side up eggs?” pilosopong tanong niya.

“No. It’s a moon-side up eggs. So shut up and let’s eat.”
