I close my eyes every night
dreaming of tomorrow
I wake up in sweaty fright
wallowing in my sorrow
my eyes are red and puffy
my face swollen and cracked
my nose thick and stuffy
my body trying to contract
your voice races down the stairs
into my underground cage
where all the shapes are squares
and I wish I were on a stage
so I could climb off and dissapear
never to be seen again
but only in the dreams of my tears
can I begin to pretend
so locked and chained down here i stay
the door slammed tight
wishing for a summer day
I hope with all my might
