Visiting hours

AU: Stiles gets badly hurt and is taken to the hospital. Derek visits him.

Derek sat staring down at Stiles.

He had got up in the middle of the night to see him, lying in that hospital bed. It wasn't like he was going to sleep anyway. He hadn't slept in days after Stiles had been attacked by a rouge omega on a full moon.

It wasn't the kids fault but Derek felt angry all the same. He also felt guilty. He felt that he had failed to protect his pack, even if it wasn't his fault he still felt accountable.

The truth was, he felt for the boy. He cared. He felt an attraction and he was not going to let the fact that visiting hours were over stop him from seeing Stiles.

So there he was. Stiles eyes fluttered open.

"uh... Hey" he said, pulling an awkward smile. Was Derek crazy or did he smell attraction?

"Hi" he smiled. He heard Stiles' heart flutter. He leaned forward. "You do know that I can smell you and hear your heartbeat right?" He said, face to face with the kid.

"uh..." Stiles didn't really know where he was going with this. "I know you do. And I'm not worried."

"you're not?" Derek smirked and leaned closer.

"I'm not. Because if I had anything to worry about, you wouldn't be leaning into me." He grinned.

Smart kid, Derek thought. I'll give him something to smile about. He then leaned in further, and brushed his lips against the boy's own. Stiles deepened the kiss and cupped his hand at the back of Derek's neck.

Derek pulled away and his smirk was interrupted by yawning. He was really tired. He leaned his head against Stiles' abdomen, careful of the bruising.

He felt Stiles' hand caress his hair and he closed his eyes. The hand moved to the spot behind Derek's ear and he tensed. What was he doing?

Stiles began to scratch softly and Derek leaned into it because it felt really good. He could just imagine the smirk on that boys face.

"If you tell anyone, I'll kill you..." He said softly, without conviction.

"sure." Stiles chuckled.
