Rouge is continuing his journey throughout the Kalos Region in his quest to find the Mega Stones for the Pokémon on his team that are able to Mega Evolve. To be able to face off against his brother once again. During his quest he meets other Key Stone holders and their Mega Pokémon, but those aren't the only people he meets along the way. An organization named Team Flare start to make themselves know and their leader Lysandre takes an interest in the young boy and the powerful bond he has with his Pokémon.
Rodney finds out about the man who has his eyes on his brother, and makes the decision to go undercover without telling Rouge or Lee what he's doing. Then, Rodney goes missing. Lee tells Rouge and now they're on a mission to find Rodney. With some help from new friends Rouge not only sets out to complete the task Rodney put in front of him, but to find Rodney as well.
