"Sam! Wake up!" Shawn yelled.
I opened my eyes to see Shawn standing with only a towel on.
"What? Why?" I rubbed my eyes.
"It's time for rehearsal." He grabbed his clothes and walked into the bathroom and changed.
"ughhhhh okay." I got out of bed and changed my clothes.
I sat down on the couch with leggings, a sweater, a scarf, and boots on. It was cold in New York. Especially in January.
I let my hair down and it was straight. What a surprise?!?!?!

Shawn walked out of the bathroom with jeans, a flannel, a leather jacket, and vans on.
"You prepared too?" I asked giggling.
"Yep, I used to live in Toronto! I know how this goes." He shows off.

We all walked downstairs to the ballroom.
It was so fancy. Wow. Chandeliers hung from the ceiling and paintings were all over the walls.
"You okay?" Matt said nudging me.
I hadn't noticed that my head was tilted up staring at the paintings.
"Yep. Just looking." I said nicely.
"You and Shawn still a thing?" He smirked.
"Yep. And he doesn't know I told you...so don't say a word." I replied.
"Okay. But Sam- I really like you. And I get it if you don't like me back. But if you don't like Shawn...then why are you still dating him?" He face got serious.
"Matt. You have rehearsal. Go." I walked away towards Shawn.
I grabbed his hand and leaned my head against his chest.
He just looked down at me and smiled.
"Can I talk to you after rehearsal?" I asked.
"Yeah, we can talk backstage. Alone." He smirked.
"Okay." I smiled and then walked towards the stage. I sat right in the front where the audience will be.
Everyone did their acts and then Shawn came out.
"So baby be the life of the party." He sang away like he didn't have a care in the world.
That's one thing I love about him. His emotions can change by just singing a song.

Then he played around.
"I dedicate this song to Sam!" He shouts into the mic.
"I've got this Summertime Sadness...." He sang.
I jumped up on stage and took the mic.
"S-S-S-Summerime Sadness." I started to laugh.
Cam and Nash waved their hands in the air.
Then the song was over.

"Hey, wanna go talk now?" Shawn grabbed my hand and led me backstage.
We sat on the couch in the green room.
"Shawn, I told Matt about how this is fake...." There was silence and then Shawn looked me in the eyes.
"Okay, because it is." He smiled.
My heart sank. Did he not like me like that?
Because it was really obvious I liked him like that.
"Really? You're okay that I told?" I asked lifting an eyebrow.
"Yep, totally fine. By the way Hannah isn't a problem anymore. So- wanna breakup?"
He looked sincere.
"Um...yeah. Sure-uh-what are we going to tell the guys?" I asked breathing in and out repeatedly.
"We were better just friends." He shook it off.
I think he was happy that we aren't "together" anymore. I'm not. No more kissing, hugging, and cuddling.
"Okay. Um, I'm going to go upstairs." A tear slipped and I sprinted upstairs.
"Sam! Wait!" Shawn yelled after me.
I didn't stop running...I never looked back.
I saw Matt and I ran past him.
He followed me.
"Sam! What's wrong?" He got into the elevator with me.
"Shawn broke up with me." I slid down the wall  and sat.
Tears filled my eyes and I started to cry.
"I'm so sorry. But...wait? Wasn't it fake?" He looked confused.
"Not to me. I actually do love him." I said through my tears.
"Oh." His smile turned upside down.
Level 6. Finally!
I ran to my room and laid down on my bed.

Why did I have to fall in love with him?
What's wrong with me?
Then I heard the doorknob turn.
I wipe my tears quickly and bury my head in the sheets.
"Sam?" I could tell it was Shawn.
I pretended to be asleep.
"Sam, I know you're awake." He sat on the edge of my bed.
