I own nothing

Chapter 8: Why are You Doing This?

Silvia's POV

I don't understand what (Y/N) wants from us. That's something I've never asked myself before. We've been through every inch and crack of this chamber, and have found absolutely nothing. I for one, am starting to think this is a lost cause. I was obviously not the only one.

"I SURRENDER! GODS OF EGYPT, YOU HAVE DEFEATED ME!" Angela cried dramatically. Jason growled.

"Off your butt drama queen, we're not ready to raise the white flag to Horus so neither are you!"

Jason had been extra determined to find a new clue in the chamber, probably in order to proper apologies to (Y/N)....and to appease her violent and scary guardian angel.

"We've looked over everything ten times over! We have found nothing new! Also, why Horus in particular?"

"God of war, and I have a thing for raptors,"

"We know. You dragged us all to see that Jurassic Park movie," I stated.

"World and I was talking about birds of prey,"

"Um, Professor Angela, Professor Mason hasn't moved for over half an hour. I am starting to believe he is dead," Shadi said, point to the frozen and kneeling body of Jason's brother. Jason, somewhat regaining his playful attitude, walked up to Mason and began poking him with what he calls his adventure staff.

"Yo! Bro! You alive?" Mason snapped back into reality and pushed the staff away.

"Yes Jason, I'm fine. And I think I might of found something,"

"Oh please Mason, even you can't work that kind of miracle," Angie groaned.

"I noticed a few section of hieroglyphs on the alter aren't completed, plus, they look familiar. I started comparing the hieroglyphs to the ones on the sarcophagus. The hieroglyphs continue there! By comparing them, I get this message: "For those who wish to know my secret, bring what should always be untied to the light of knowledge,"

"Huh, Hallelujah," Jason slapped him on the back.

"Way to go Mas! But what does it mean?"

"I have no idea," I began thinking.

"Bring what should always be united', a pair of words maybe?"

"But which words?" Angie asked before realization dawned on her.

"Wait, Shadi, you said this pharaoh was a real romantic right?"

"By today's standards, defiantly," he responded.

"2 words that should always be untied. Mason, are there any hieroglyphs in this room that would make a romantic phrase?" He thought for a minute before his face brightened.

"Wait, I notice slight discoloration with the words 'sacred' and 'treasure'. I would think those words alone wouldn't always have to be together, but what if they were describing someone?"

"The Pharaoh's Queen! He died of a broken heart after she died and their son didn't need him!" I cheered. Mason bent over to double check the word. Normally, we would never directly touch the area for several reasons, but this was a special case. Surprisingly, the 2 glyphs came right off.

"That's one part of the puzzle down. What's the second part?" Jay asked.

"Light of wisdom: the torches probably," I stated.
