"Mommy?" Nicholas says coming from behind the door. He runs to me and I place him on my lap. "Why are you crying mommy?" I let out a sigh.
"Mommy is going away for a little while."
"Why?"
"Well, I have a friend who lives in Las Vegas and he's very sick and I want to visit him." He nods.
"Can I come with you?"
"I'm sorry sweetie, but daddy is going to stay here with you and you're gonna have lots of fun." I slightly smile.
"Do you still love me?"
"Of course I still love you. Don't you ever, EVER think I don't love you."
"Do you still love daddy?"
"Yes I do sweetheart." James kisses my temple as I hug Nicholas thight.
"I don't want you to go mommy." He cries. It breaks my heart, making me cry too.
"I have to sweetie." I make him face me and wipe his tears. "But I'm not gone yet, so the time I'm still here I'm gonna spend it with you and daddy"
"Promise?"
"I promise."
