Figured I should update this to reflect how my views now. I would call myself a poet now. A good one? I don't know about that. But when I first started writing this, to me poetry was almost like some secret art that only certain people could do. I couldn't have been more wrong.
Poetry is universal.
If you have emotions and thoughts, that's poetry.
Poetry is capturing those feelings
and then reproducing the image on the page.
Poetry is personal and impersonal.
Poetry is logical and nonsensical.
Poetry is me.
