Chapter 24

Bethany was just dozing off when her parents and brother walked into the room.

"Look at those beautiful babies, I can kiss and hold them forever" said Mrs. Beauvais.

Orlando stood up and greeted the family.

"How are you feeling being a new father and all?" asked Mr. Beauvais.

"Right now, I am still taking it all in. It was an experience I won't forget."

"We are grandparents" shouted Mrs. Beauvais.

"Not so loud mom; I can't take the noise right now" Bethany said rolling over.

"Bethany, what are their names?" her father asked.

Orlando being a proud father spoke up instead.

"Since we have a boy and a girl, I am naming our son Orlando James Alessandro Jr. and he will be the heir to my family name. As for my daughter, I am thinking..."

Bethany interrupted him.

"I am thinking that you have done enough Orlando. I am going to name our daughter. She will have a solid name like... like Delphia Ann Alessandro. What do you think of that mom?"

"I love it Bethany! You both have chosen great names for your children and it will serve the family proudly" Mrs. Beauvais said.

Nurse Sharon and Velma entered the room.

"Excuse me; Bethany it is time for us to take the babies back to the baby ward. Your guest may come and see the babies from the other side of the glass. I will be sure to put them in front by the room window."

"Nurse Sharon, these are my parents and my little brother."

"It is nice to meet you all" she said shaking their hands.

As the nurses wheeled the babies out the room and down the hall, Chester ran over to Bethany.

"I'm an uncle. This is so cool; it is way cooler than when I got my detective kit. First, I am going to give them my best toys and then I am going to show them how to dig a ditch and put fish in the water. Next I will..."

"Hold on special agent; they are not that big yet to do any of that stuff you are speaking of. You will have to wait about three years before you can teach them your schemes" said Bethany.

"Honey, you should get your rest now. I will show everyone to the baby ward and then I will come back later in the day to see how you are doing" said Orlando.

Orlando kissed Bethany and motioned for everyone to leave the room.

"Do you think we should throw a surprise party for her?" asked Mrs. Beauvais.

"Bethany would love it. I will invite some of her close friends and you guys can help me set things up at the house. Why don't you come by around two o'clock tomorrow and then when I get her around 4 o'clock to bring her home, we can surprise her."

"Yes, that sounds like a plan to me" said Chester.

The alarm clock buzzed and Orlando rolled over to turn it off. He took the pillows off the bed and put them on the chair; then he began to remove the sheets to remake the bed. After cleaning up the room some more; Orlando went over to the mirror and gazed at his sculptured body with a devilish grin on his face. Turning on some music, Orlando stepped into the shower. Lathering himself in body wash, he thought of Bethany caressing him with her gentle touch. After drying off, he went to the closet and picked out the brown and tan outfit that Bethany liked.
