Chapter 2;

After picking up the girls from gymnastics we went home.
"CASEY" I yell as we walk inside the house.
"Is mommy home?" Tori asks with a concerned look on her face.
"She should be"
I walk upstairs to our room to find her staring blankly at the wall.
"Casey? Are you okay?"
"He's gone" she whispers.
"Who's gone?"
I sit next to Casey looking at her pale face.
"My dad,he's dead"
My heart dropped.Her dad?Her best friend.Of all people her dad.She broke down crying in my chest.I wrap my arms around her resting my head on top of hers as I let out silent cries.I've never seen her so hurt.
"My dad is gone.My dad is gone.The more I say it,I still can't believe it.He was my best friend.I told him everything.Why him?I haven't seen him in months now I can never see him again."
Ari and Tori walk towards us slowly frowning.
"What's wrong?"Ari asks
"Um,abuelo past away this afternoon"
"No he didn't" Ari says obviously hurt
"I'm sorry sweetheart but he did"
"He can't be dead!He's not dead!" Ariel runs away crying.Tori just stood there looking at Casey crying as if she didn't understand but I knew she did.
Ariel was really close to Casey's dad.
"I'm gonna talk to Ariel." Casey says walking out of the room.
"Are you okay Tori?"
"Yeah"
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm hurt but I want to be strong for mommy"
"That's sweet but you don't have to"
"So it's okay to cry?" Her face turns red at tears began to fall.
"Yes it is"
I pick up Tori sitting her on my lap.
"He's not coming back.Ever"
I don't know what to say.

"How did this happen?" Ariel asks between cries.
"He was very ill for a while."
"Well at least he's in a better place and not in pain.I'm going to miss him"
"I am too"
"He always called me his little meatball.The way he lights up a room when he walks in.No one could replace him"
I take off a chain that was my dad's and give it to Ariel.
"This is grandpa's chain.His mom gave it to him before she passed.I think he'd want you to have it"
"Thanks mom"
"You're welcome"
"The same thing happened to me friend.She said to make it better is to think of the good times and not the bad"
"That's true.Grandpa didn't leave us either.He's in our hearts"
"I love you mommy."
"I love you too"
