Mr. or Mrs. Peter?

By Coco

The gender confusion. It's happened or at least to me it has and it's not pretty.

It was a regular lazy Monday morning of my sophomore year. And as you can assume, I wasn't that awake. Well, at least that's my excuse. So I arrived at my first class, and fell immediately to sleep. I hadn't even notice the teacher coming, that's how drunk asleep I was.

Friend: Coco, wake up!<She said shoving me not so nicely>

Me: Huh?<I murmured half asleep.>

Friend: They're taking role call.

Me: Tomorrow.<I repeated various of times.>

Friend: Wake up!<Again, shaking my shoulder.>

Me: NO!

Friend:The teacher's coming.<She whispered harshly.>

Stranger: Are you Coco? < A hoarsely voice asked.>

Me. Zzzzz......

Stranger: Wake up! <A strong hand grabbed my shoulder and shook me; it felt like an earthquake.>

Me: Hu?<I said wiping away my drool.  Hey don't judge;I bet you drool too.>

Stranger: Are you Coco?

I stared at the 6' 4" person in front of me, who had short curly hair, chubby, with a mole on the chin, thick eyebrows, and a......mustache? That's when I noticed it wasn't our teacher; it was substitute. I squinted my eyes <I'm so blind without my glasses.> to read the name tag that read:

Substitute:

Kelly Peter

Me: Yes, Mr. Peter<That's when the class burst-ed into laughter.>

Mr.Peter: Excuse me?!<He said offended.>

Me: That yes, I am Coco. Mr. Peter.< Again the class hid their laughter when they saw the deathly glare of Mr. Peter>

Mr. Peter: What did you call me?!<Getting angrier by the minute. I mean what did I do to get him so mad.>

Me: Mr. Peter?<That's when my friend kicked my seat completely failing to be inconspicuous.>

Mr. Peter glared at me before turning away and continuing with role call. I turned around to my friend and gave her the-What's-his-problem?-look.

Friend: She's Mrs. Peter, you dumb ass. <She said harshly.>

Awkward! The whole class period, I wasn't able to concentrate OR sleep. I remained quiet<Very Unusual> until the bell rung. As you can imagine, I felt like a total crap. I apologized to the lady, and said that I was just too sleepy to focus right. She forgave which I'm so happy she did, because if she hadn't I'd be feeling like crap for ever.

Sorry, Mrs. Peter! :/ Love u!
