A/N: This dedication goes, again, to Careless_Whisper, for her absolutely beautiful comment on my last chapter. Guys, I actually cried. So thank you again.

I love you all! but I'm too tired to think so here you go and g'night!

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN:

Reality

Recorded Phone Conversation

Dated September 3, 2013  Time: 9:27pm

Line 1:  Hello?

Line 2:  Asim Warren! How’s the Warren life?

Line 1:  Jacen.

Line 2:  Well, that’s a weird adjective to use, but if your Warren life can be described as ‘Jacen’ it must be a pretty darn amazing thing to behold.

Line 1:  Jacen.

Line 2:  Then again, maybe you’re trying to be insulting, because I can see that.

Line 1:  Jacen.

Line 2:  And I’ll have you know, my life is pretty darn fantast-

Line 1:  Jacen!

Line 2:  … What?

Line 1:  *long inhale* Where are you?  William’s freaking out.  I’ve never seen him this… obsessed.  That girl has him in a relationship that looks downright unhealthy.  I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think it’s worse than you were with Em.

Line 2:  Hey!  I resent that.

Line 1:  I’m serious, Jacen.  I don’t know how you got him to leave this girl’s side, but you need to get her here asap.

Line 2:  I’m coming.  Roza’s right he-

Line 1:  Roza?

Line 2:  Yes, she’s-

Line 1:  Her name’s Roza?

Line 2:  Yes?

Line 1:  *pause* Please tell me the tat is just a coincidence, Jacen.  Please tell me that.  Will is known for his weird tendencies towards meaningless body art.  Tell me that this is just one of those times.

Line 2:  *silence*

Line 1:  Bloody-  I swear, Jace, if this girl is in any way shallow…

Line 2:  She’s not, Asim.  In fact, I think you’ll like her.

Line 1:  That’s doubtful.  Will can’t keep a stable relationship to save his life.  And don’t even get me started on Tayla.  You know, she and I used to be friends.

Line 2:  This is different. Asim, ask him if he’s with Roza.  Ask him if he’s taken.

Line 1: What are you-?

Line 2:  Just do it.

Line 1:  *mumbling background noise intermingles with a club’s pounding beat*

Line 2: *waits*

Line 1:  … He’s in denial.  Either that or he honestly has no idea.

Line 2:  Exactly.

Line 1:  Well, that’s… interesting.

Line 2:  Exactly.  This is why I separated the two.  Roza is more of the ‘baggy clothes’, ‘stay-in-the-background’ type.  Which makes it pretty easy for Will to ignore the fact that he might be even remotely attracted to her.  It’s taken a lot of pleading, manipulating, and bribing, but I think that wall of his is about to be blown to bits.  I might not be a fashionist-o, but you can never go wrong with the little black dress angle.
